“Admission a bit pricey - snacks Great prices!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 23, 2013

We go to Mr. Gretna Lake and Beach off and on thru out the summer. Towards the middle to the end of the summer the lake gets dirtier and unclear/muddier each time. I will not even go in the water, for the price there needs to be some type of cleaning going on.

“Mt. Gretna Arts and Crafts Show”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 20, 2013 via mobile

The 3rd weekend in August features the art festival held under the trees at Mt. Gretna. It's a $10 fee and parking is free. The show features a nice assortment of artists and craftsmen, from painters to birdhouse makers. Most items are reasonably priced, unlike the Longs Park show. It's best to go early and park on the hill where there is another show of people not invited to the main event. We always find something we love. This year it was Shaker furniture made of reclaimed chestnut.

“A blast from the past”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 1, 2013

My family used to come here in the '60s and up to the '80s. It's good to see nothing has changed. Cool little cottages, the lake to swim in and the "Jigger Shop" for ice cream!

“always a wonderful day!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 27, 2013

Each summer I take my children and their friends to Mount Gretna for the day. It is our annual outing that we look forward to all year long. It is more expensive then going to a pool, but certainly worth it! We arrive when it opens and stay until it closes.

The entire place is kept very clean and organized! There are plenty of lifeguards and friendly staff. Lots of grass as well as sand to put chairs and blankets on. Clean bathhouse with hot water.

We always bring lots of food and drink, good books to read a volleyball and sand/water toys.
Snackbar food is available for purchase. There is a picnic area and a small playground.
There are beach chairs and inner tubes to rent. Also, canoes and kayaks are able to be rented.

The lake tends to be cooler than pool water. On the lake there is a diving board, trapeze swing and a high diving tower. There is a roped off area to keep smaller children and non swimmers in the shallow end.

Very clean, fun activities including fun swing out in the middle of the lake. Boating options, grass or sand options. Changing facilities available. Great for a day out with the family!
