“???? Its a crime”
Reviewed April 7, 2014

This place is not far from our home.. we have often talked about stopping to see what it is all about. My husband and myself enjoy trying out different "mom & pop" places. Typically the food is better quality then your standard chain restaurant.
We went to checkout this place because other reviews on this site said things like "Best you can get in Morgantown" & "you should eat here"

I have to report that it was by far one of the worst dinners i have ever had.. It is a crime what we paid for the horrible dinner and service.

First we walked in.. we were not greeted in any way! we sat down in a LARGE open room. It was clean i will give them that.

so here we are two different sets of people sitting at tables in a quite, odd, old room waiting for a server, to greet us. After about 5 minutes shes arrived and came up with menus after she finished her own dinner. She did not introduce herself nor did she welcome us to the restaurant.

we ordered two different entries and a kids chicken finger. They were terrible tasting my smelled like something that they mixed up from a can of tuna threw some overcooked wet asparagus on top and called it chicken Oscar.

My husbands was pretty much the same exact dry chicken with a peace of ham & cheese baked on top.

i can report that the kids 4 dollar chicken dinner was great!!! We should have all just got the deep fried chicken and french fries -_-

our Bill was 65$$ for two wasted dinners a kids meal and two drinks..
we could not have been more discussed.

we frequently go out to eat and often tell all of our friends about great places we find.. this however will never be somewhere we return too.

“Cozy, friendly bar”
Reviewed March 19, 2014

The Heritage has a cozy bar with friendly staff and patrons. The food is reasonably priced and delicious. They have a nice little outdoor patio with tables, chairs, and an outdoor fireplace. This is a terrific spot to grab a bite to eat, a few drinks, and have some laughs without breaking the bank!

“you should eat here”

My mom now lives in Elverson, and we took her to the Heritage for her birthday. The food was very good! I moved away from Morgantown 25 years ago, so was surprised to see the restaurant/bar still there. Husband had the prime rib, I had the broiled stuffed shrimp, mom had liver and onions (which she said was cooked perfectly), kids had a burger and chicken fingers. We will take her to the Heritage every time!

“Best you can get in Morgantown”
Reviewed June 3, 2013

Like a walk into 1947, but not altogether in a bad way. Combination diner-restaurant. No complaints. There was both draft and bottled beer, and the dishes were hot and generous, while the service was efficient. It's the country, even though you're within a hour of Philly. Take it for what it is. If you stay at the Holiday Inn, you've got a decent night's stay and a decent meal for under $150 for two adults.
