“Do Not Stay Here (the negative reviews are extremely accurate)”
Reviewed January 3, 2012

We booked several rooms and all of the hotel rooms were disgusting. All of the negative reviews you will read are accurate. The bathrooms do not look like they have been cleaned nor the sheets changed. The smells in the rooms are overwelming. It's all true.

Your safety as a guest is the greatest concern. The clientele is questionable at best and appear to actually live there full time. The entrances are on the exterior of the building. The front desk closes late at night and any business is conducted between a bulletproof window. That right there should tell you it is not a safe place to stay.

Go to the Marriot across the street. It's well worth it. Courteous staff and overall great accomodations. Price difference was minimal but what you got was not a step up, but an entire stair case up.

Room Tip: All rooms suck. Go to a different hotel!

The room was okay. The bathroom looked like it needed cleaned more. There was a piece of toilet paper on the floor when we got there along with hair in the one corner. Overall just okay, may stay again. There was a continental breakfast but just cereal, donuts, some fruit that didn't look that great, toast and bagels. Looked like someone needed to tend to it, the tables were filthy, there was no coffee and no plates.

At 2 am saturday morning a bus pulled up outside our door and let a bunch of kids out who were laughing and carrying on for about 30 min. Same thing on Sunday at 3 am but a fight broke out - i threatened to call the cops, at 4am a van pulled up with music blaring and I yelled for them to turn it down because people were trying it sleep and the person began to approach my room and threatened me. I called the front desk and no answer. I will never stay at a days inn again.

Room Tip: I have stayed at Best Western parkway center numerous times and enjoyed it. I could not get a room...

Cockroaches, dirty bathroom, towels smell and full of hairs, filthy, rats running around outside the building, noisy, unprofessional and stupid staff. And these are the nicest things I can think to say!

Room Tip: There is parking right outside the door from the rooms on the back of the building, but this is NOT...

My spouse and I stayed here during a quick trip to PA to see my folks and then to tour the Pittsburgh Zoo. This was a fairly close option that was not nearly as expensive as other options. We see why!

The staff was friendly and our room was clean. Those are the only pluses for this hotel. Otherwise, this facility was very disappointing for one that carries the Days Inn brand name. The place is in total disrepair. A major overhaul is needed of the exterior, all hallways and all common areas. These areas are dirty, smelly and badly in need of painting. The lobby carpeting needs replaced. There's a rotting exterior stairwell that's a major safety hazard.

A hospital is being constructed nearby. Dump trucks dropped loads at the site well into the night making an incredible amount of noise that would affect all guests on the back side of the hotel. It was after mid-night before it quieted down. That situation is temporary.

There seems to be a transient nature to this hotel that takes advantage of the outside access. This is set up like a motel rather than a hotel. We say many rooms with doors cracked open but do not disturb signs. Perhaps a signal that the residents were there and potentially "available for business" but currently occupied?

Avoid this one. Try and negotiate a lower rate somewhere else or just pay the extra $30 bucks.

I was travelling cross country helping a friend moved and did not have any any control over the hotel we ended up stopping at - this was a terrible choice. I am surprised that any hotel chain is willing to put their name on this one.

The hotel itself seems rather old and not well cared for. There are several common spaces (the back stairwell, several of the walkways) that were dirty, unlit and in general disrepair. While nothing happened to the moving truck, we felt it was not safe parking in the lots but had no choice.

The room itself was awful. Our guess is that the toilet overflowed and they barely tried to clean it up. The sewage smell was terrible and the carpet was wet in many areas. There were Cheerios scattered around behind doors and under beds from a previous guest I suppose. Beds were not comfortable.

On the bright side, there is a mini golf place right next door and a bar in the strip mall that is in the back parking lot.

Usually there are a few rough rooms in many hotels, but after the string of bad reviews here I think it is an issue with the whole property, not just certain rooms. With the condition our room was in, we did not even think about trying the breakfast.

This was hands down the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. EVERYTHING smelled like smoke, everything was dirty -- yes, the bathroom was dirty -- the continental breakfast was white bread and coffee, and the fitness center was so bad I laughed out loud.
YUCK.

Room Tip: Stay in another hotel, not this one.
