The staff at this hotel were great and helpful. The rooms were very clean and housekeeping got us whatever we needed. However, the noise from the traffic, even on the 6th floor kept us from getting a restful sleep. The mattress was also very lumpy-not comfortable. We probably will stay at the Springhill Suites in Monroeville the next time if we can, if only for the quiet room.

Room Tip: We've stayed here before and had a room on the opposite side of the building, but still heard the traffic noise.

My husband and I stayed here when visiting Pittsburgh. We found the lobby and breakfast area to be quite nice and modern, which set a good mood upon our arrival. However upon checking into our room (or even getting off the elevator) we were surprised at how dated the rest of the hotel was. The carpets look like they were leftovers from the 80's and the furniture and the decor in the rooms lacked any sense of being from the 21st century. The area the hotel is in is convenient to downtown Pittsburgh and the Turnpike. However, dining choices are regulated to chain restaurants (and not the higher end kind either). Overall though we found everything to be clean and comfortable and had a pleasant stay at the hotel. We would return again, but hopefully they'll have updated a bit by the time we do.

Room Tip: The hotel is right across from a hospital so be prepared for sirens and lights at all times.

Good place to stay, clean, friendly staff. Breakfast was a little limited, but perfectly find for free included breakfasts. We used this hotel as a base for seeing Pittsburgh - downtown, Zoo, and the University museums. We did have to drive somewhere everyday, but it wasn't a long drive nor a bad drive.

We were very pleasantly surprised with the Hampton Inn in Monroeville. The staff is incredibly friendly and really makes an effort to be courteous - BEYOND what you normally see in a hotel these days.

Rooms were clean and the staff quickly got us a roll-away bed which we needed at a late moment. The location is a bit noisy but the convenience to the turnpike made up for a few late night truck sounds - especially since we had to be on the road at 5am.

Next time, it will be nice to try out the pool.

We stayed here as a quick overnight along our trip. We checked in late (after 10 pm) and the front desk personnel couldn't have been nicer. The beds were very comfortable and except for the mildew in the shower and dust in the corners of the room I would rate this higher.
The free breakfast was by far the best I have ever encountered in this type of hotel, definitely an asset to this location.
I didn't have time to use the fitness room but definitely appreciated the fact that they have one. Location is great and I'm sure that having an Outback Steakhouse attached to the property is a plus for many.
