not feeling very welcome but who cares food is good. They make you feel like an outsider, unless you are a regular patron. I really dont care though because they have awesome food. it may cost a bit but it is yummy. lots of wing flavors as well.

Amazingly good food in a very unexpected place. This is an historic hotel by a bend in the road. The wood stove is pumping out warmth on a cold day. The specials of the week are on a menu board on the wall and the other selections are posted on cards that line the walls around the dining room and the bar. The bar-style food is well prepared and comes at a very reasonable price. It's a very casual atmosphere that attracts bikers, skiers and golfers looking for and excellent meal and a cold drink. The steak sandwich was outstanding. We've put this on our list of favorite, fun, out of the way places to enjoy a meal.

This hotel was pointed out to us from a trolley tour of the Delaware Water Gap area we took on a Sunday afternoon. We were told that it was an historic building and that Jackie Gleason used to play pool there when he was in the area visiting friends. We needed a place to grab a late lunch, so we returned to the Minisink Hotell around 3 PM. Trip Advisor describes the hotel as a locals’ bar, and that is a good description. The place was packed; the bar area in particular was jammed as people watched the NFL on tv’s over the bar. A lot of bikers had stopped at the place, and there was a constant flow of people in and out. Jackie Gleason might be pleased to know that there is still a pool table. The menu is more extensive than one might imagine, but it is posted on cards pinned to cork boards around the room, and you have to walk around to see all the offerings; there is no printed menu. One poor young woman was the only help, and she had to attend to the bar and the tables in the seating area, as well as fetching food from the kitchen. Overall, though, the food was pretty good. We had clams as an appetizer, fried shrimp and a cheeseburger which was quite large and very good. (The French fries were not very good!) For the money and the circumstances, it was a pretty good deal - not much for ambiance - the building is a bit run-down, the crowd was noisy, etc. - but it was fine for what we wanted at that moment.

We spent the whole day here playing darts, eating, drinking and playing cards. The atmosphere is cozy and comfortable, warmed by a big wood-burning stove in the center. The food was delicious and priced right, as were the drinks. It was a fantastic place to spend the day during 7 degree weather!

It's a biker bar atmosphere with really nice people. They made us feel at home very quickly even though we weren't certain what to expect. All of our picks were delicious but the highlight was the super large and tender clam strips. So good we took some home and went back to get more the next day.
