“Country Seasons Best Choice for Laurel Highlands”

Husband and I, brother and stepfather, here October 26, in advance of Fallingwater tour. Liberty and Jim are the best, the Inn is terrific, I highly recommend. Three bedrooms with adjoining baths upstairs, one bedroom downstairs. Breakfast was wonderful - quiche in ramekins, baked oatmeal (they emailed me the recipe!) and fresh fruit cup. Liberty recommended a couple of dinner places, and offered a discount coupon for one of them. Most guests probably stay here due to its proximity to Fallingwater - my reason - as it is the closest, with chain hotels 12+ mi away. This area has lots of woody, hilly, winding roads so 12 mi could feel like 112, if you have an 8:45am tour time. Brother and Dad stayed in room with single trundle and double bed, Paul and I were very comfortable in double bed across the hall. They have a great porch across the front of the house with rockers. Paul and I walked on the road to stretch our legs, but the road was narrow, and the traffic was a bit high-speed for our comfort. The only caveat for the region is that it is dry - no alcohol - and if i had known, we might have asked to bring in a bottle of wine. I'm sure the area is very busy in summertime with recreation on the Youghiogheny River, and the Spragues are very well situated (and, I feel very strongly very well-priced!) for what they offer - well done, Liberty and Jim - best wishes for your future success!

Room Tip: It probably depends on the time of year - and I didn't note direction of sun, road noise etc.as...

We stayed here late September for the specific reason to visit Falling Water and Kentuck Knob. Our initial contacts had been very good yet we wondered about something so off the beaten track. But it was absolutely amazing! We had three wonderful days/evenings here. Liberty and James could not do enough for us. The thing that astounded me was the preparedness of Liberty to make my special gluten free breakfast every morning - be it pancakes, little soufflés or GF bread just for me! The second evening when we came in there were even GF chocolate brownies ... all for me! :-) Certainly there are no real restaurants in town but there is an excellent guide for choosing others and the one within walking distance was a basic wholesome filling meal. Liberty and James had clear directions as to how to get various places and we felt completely at home here. Our last day was quite wet and we relaxed in the room or downstairs before heading out later for a drive. We did not feel it was over priced but excellent value! Thanks again Liberty and James.

Room Tip: We were able to see the rooms one day when we were the only ones in and they all looked great with s...

Very quiet and comfortable room. Nice cooked breakfast. Comfy atmosphere. Very kind and helpful owners.
No complaints at all, maybe it is a little expensive for a B&B in a remote place. Incidentally, there are no restaurants nearby where you can have a decent dinner. The one suggested by the owners was awful.

Liberty and Jim were very flexible with us - my flight was delayed a lot, and they were able to accomodate a very late check in time. The room was not overly decorated, which is good, and all rooms have tv and private baths. The afternoon cookies were a treat. Everything was very clean. Breakfasts were delicious, although we would have appreciated a later breakfast time - 9 am is the latest option, which means you really can't sleep in. There are not a lot of nearby options for dinner, but they leave a book of menus out to help you figure out where to go. Definitely a great choice for visiting Fallingwater and Kentuck Knob!

I'm not a frequent bed and breakfast reviewer, but if "excellent" indicates a good, clean property and a good night's sleep, followed by a delicious breakfast, then Country Seasons get my "excellent" review.

Country Seasons is just a few miles from the always fascinating little town of Ohiopyle and the world-renowned Fallingwater (Frank Lloyd Wright's masterpiece). There's no "milling around" in Mill Run. In other words you will need to drive back to Ohiopyle or over to Confluence or perhaps Donegal for dining and other services. (We chose to have dinner in a restaurant in Confluence which is literally on the banks of the river, and aptly named "Rivers Edge".)

One thing that impressed me about Country Seasons was the noticeable cleanliness of every space--the room, the shower, the downstairs sitting area and dining tables. Everything is clean!

Liberty was a gracious host and was especially helpful in arranging reservations for us at the restaurant I mentioned above.

Country Seasons is a great place to stay near Falling Water. The location is ideal to see the nearby attractions--Falling Water, Kentuck Knob, the Allegheny Passage bike trail in Ohiopyle, the Flight 93 Memorial. Liberty and Jim were gracious hosts and helped us plan our time in the area. The B&B was very clean, and the breakfasts were delicious. We would definitely stay there again.

This was the fourth B & B we used on our road trip and again this offered excellent accomodation. It is a four bedroomed house in a little town called Mill Run and it is probably the best place to stay if you are visiitng Fallingwater as it is only a 10 minute drive away.
Our room was nicely decorated and comfortable as were the beds. The bathroom offered a shower only but that does not bother us. Liberty and her husband offer 24/7 coffee and cookies and an excellent cooked breakfast. If you have a fixed time for Fallingwatewr they will fit your breakfast time around your schedule.
The only thing against this establishment was the cost was a little high as against other similar places that we stayed in but having said that it does offer a good nights stay.

Room Tip: Great for Fallingwater
