“Excellent For Lunch”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 21, 2013

Lunch was so good the previous Saturday while we were visiting Milford, PA - we went back Sunday too! Love sitting on the large front porch watching the world go by. We had Panninis - chicken fajita and veggie - both were delicious. Sunday we had the salads - Heavenly and a Southwest. I was in Heaven with my Heavenly salad! I am very picky about chicken at restaurants after getting food poisoning on a chicken sandwich many years ago - the chicken here is FRESH and well cooked. Salads and Paninis are very generous and so yum! Wish I could get that Heavenly Salad again in my hometown. Only wish is sometimes the wait staff is inside and forget to check back on refilling waters and iced teas - otherwise excellent! Pricing is just right too!

Room Tip: We only dine at Dimmicks.

I had dinner there because there is plenty of room & a nice ambiance for eating outdoors during this heat wave. The appetizers and southwest salad are great. However, the crab stuffed tilapia entree was freezer burned and extremely gross. The waitress was kind enough to offer something else & remove it from the bill. After that-was not interested in having anything else; therefore, I did not have it replaced. I think that it's hit or miss there. Its pretty obvious that you're definitely not going to get fresh food for dinner.

Stayed here about 8 years ago and again recently. We walked in to find the person I spoke with about getting our room (the bartender - there was no one else around) bothered by our request. The rooms are bare closets, practically college fraternity house level. Sheets dont fit beds. Had to ask for towels. A strong New York prescence. Not the good Catskill kind - the in your face Bronx rude crude screw you kind of vibe. The owner's sons (full grown men mind you) and their wives had an all out screaming, curseword filled brawl with broken glass, tables and chairs flying right in the dining room while we were eating dinner. A fellow patron had to call the cops. They must subscrice to the New York Housewive reality show as their method of communicating with people. Music in the bar was too loud and it was rap, couldn't hear your conversation. All you can say is what a shame - it's a beautiful building, historical and used to be run by some folks that cared about the place and the people who patronized it. It's no longer a tavern/hotel. It's a place for punks and poor souls who dont have a better choice for the evening. ala the girl who puked all over the women's room door. My advice, keep looking.

We stayed several days in Milford & love this small town! We visited Dimmicks twice in the bar for apps & to ask the locals for recommendations of places & things to do. The apps were excellent, staff friendly as we're our fellow patrons. We returned for a lunch on the porch & although service was a little slow on this visit, we enjoyed the house made sangria, and house specialty chili Mac n cheese. Great sandwiches...sorry we didn't find time for a dinner!

My entree was ok,chicken grilled, but the salad was cheap( fake plastic bowl,, and the bread is storebought junk. The prices are stupid...they should be 30% less at least.

Penn. seems to do just about everything wrong...
motels gross, food gross and overpriced, bad roads , rude people,,, what is wrong
with this strange state?????

Our trip to the Dimmick Inn was outstanding. We made it for the Block Party weekend. The Inn was very crowded and the service was very good. A comfortable bed with all the necessary conveniences. Cozy, charming and comfortable.

A friend and I stayed the night in "haunted" room # 8. This place was our kind of style. Very easy going and accommodating. We made quick friends with the staff come closing hours and really enjoyed the atmosphere. The restaurant portion was not bad either. Staff was friendly and did not pester us much. Food was tasty and well cooked; however, the prices seemed a little high. Some rooms are shared bathrooms, which in my opinion can be a plus. Great way to meet new people. Overall, we loved the staff and atmosphere. This is not a procedural chain establishment; it has an easy going local feel to the place. The second floor balcony is also a plus, especially if you are spending the night. We will defiantly be back again. If you are looking for a place to stay, give this a try...If you do go, tell them two Jersey Shore guys said you had to check it out and that they were disappointed that room #8 was not haunted. PS: say Hi to Fannie for us and take ride on the clothes rack at Wal-Mart.
