“Clean, inexpensive hotel near Milford & NJ State parks”

The Scottish Inn in Milford is a clean, inexpensive hotel. The owners pay obvious attention to detail and customer service. Other reviews are on the mark with regard to traffic noise from nearby Rt 84 and the beds are extra firm but compared to half the cost of major chains nearby its worth it. Our solution...turn the wall AC up so the fan runs but not the ac, it was October, and it drowns the noise out. Stokes, Highland and the Delaware Water gap are in a twenty mile radius. Go into Milford, visit the shops, check out the Dimmick Inn Resturant, Apple Valley, Water Wheel Cafe and Milford Diner ( next to the hotel); excellent service, food and waitstaff.

Room Tip: This is an excellent, small town, older motel NOT the Hampton but they do compare when it comes to c...

We stayed here on a trip from New Jersey to the Poconos - it was a great overnight stop and near the lovely town of Milford where there was a good choice of lunch and dinner options. It was clean and the noise from the main road that many people mentioned did not bother us at all although it was very hot so we had the air con on all the time. We didn't try the diner next door but it looked the part. We used the diner in town for breakfast and it was very good. We loved our visit to the nearby Raymondskill Falls and swam in the river at Milford beach. We would recommend this area for a weekend break as there is plenty to see and do and the Scottish Inns was a good budget choice for accommodation.

very clean, quiet stay...would highly recommend to anyone...and the owners were very very nice...we will definitely be staying here again......stayed for a week in an end room and the cleaning service was phenomenal and the location was great on a main road but it was still very quiet and there was a very good diner located right next door..again would highly recommend to anyone

Room Tip: the end room was amazing and so quiet, felt like being home

Comfortable room, friendly, efficient service, very clean & up-to-date appointments, handy location. The only draw-back is the hotel's proximity to the highway. The noise from the trucks and traffic can be a bit loud, but that comes with the location. This isn't a scenic get-away spot or resort. Gas & food are nearby as is the pretty town of Milford.

I stayed here overnight for a wedding. I called early and asked if I could come in earlier than check-in time and it was not a problem. The room was so clean! I have been to many hotels and this is by far one of the cleanest. Yes it's a little dated but the pros out weigh the con. I have already recommended this motel to all I know. OH, and the price is great! Love it!!!

This small, privately-owned facility is spotless inside and outside. It comes with all of the amenities of the luxury chains, without the price tag. The staff and owners were helpful and friendly. It is easy to find off the highway. We would recommend this to everyone.

Room Tip: If you are a light sleeper, the road noise could be bothersome. We had no problem!
