Even though we live relatively close this was my first trip to the White House Restaurant. We'll definitely return. I could see this being a great stop over when we're riding the GAP trail too! Soup and home made bread bar as well as choice of salad and potato included with your meal. I had broiled seafood platter; Denny had crab topped chicken breast. 2 Coronas, 1 glass reisling all for $53. BTW-the seafood platter was the most expensive entree on the menu. You won't be sorry you visited the White House Restaurant!

My family have been visiting this restaurant for years. It is one of the best places to eat within a hundred miles of our home! The food is always good and you get pleantiful portions. Waitresses and staff are friendly. Some may think it is a little pricey, but you get any excellent meal and will NEVER leave hungry, I promise!

If you love seafood and steak, make this a stop on your next outing. Excellent food at a fair price in a small town atmosphere. The desserts aren't bad either ;)

The White House Restaurant is by far the best choice for a wonderful home-cooked meal. Tuesday is their home-cooking day, where you can get things like stuffed chicken breasts, stuffed pork chops, meatloaf, hot roastbeef sandwiches, etc., etc., etc. They have a soup and bread bar, all homemade, as well as a large selection of steaks, fish, chicken, and so on. They also have delicious desserts, if you have any room at the end of your meal. The owners as well as the servers make you feel like you're one of the family. Don't miss out!

We visit this restaurant at least monthly and have never had a bad meal or bad service. The food is great and includes a bread and soup bar with a delicious assortment of breads and rolls. If you don't like the soup at the bar they have another one in the kitchen. The meal includes a large salad and the thousand island dressing is fantastic. The meals are reasonably priced and are the right size. You can get a sundae for dessert at 1950's prices and they are pretty good for the price, that is if you have enough room for dessert. Try their specialty fried haddock, the best I have ever eaten.
