We enjoyed a very nice stay the Levi Deal Mansion. Michael and Jan were terrific hosts and cooks. They were well versed with general information, history and directions. The rooms were large and comfortable. The Mansion is very close to the Great Allegheny Passage for cyclists. We are cyclists, however, we visited Western PA to run the mighty Youghiogheny. Based upon good reviews on TA, we went out of our way to stay at the Levi Deal Mansion B&B ... and we were not disappointed. It was worth the trip. Enjoy!

When we rode into Meyersdale off the Great Allegheny Passage, I remembered thinking, whoo, boy, what are we going to find. What you can see of the town from the trail is pretty dispiriting.

The Levi Deal Mansion is none of those things. The restoration of this timber and coal baron's mansion into a B&B is astonishing, with beautiful art flourishes and carefully curated modern touches. My hat is off to Michael and Jan. The rooms are beautifully furnished, with high-quality linens and new, solid beds, and everything feels modern and historic at the same time.

Now we were on a bike trip, and so were the other guests, so it's always important to make sure you get a good start to the day. We also had a fantastic breakfast -- Jan is a terrific cook.

My only complaint is that if you're a light sleeper, the coal trains going by will keep you up. But that must be a problem anywhere in Meyersdale, because it's a small town and the train tracks run along the high ground with the town below. You'll find earplugs in your room.

Bottom line: This is an amazing hotel and a beautiful mansion lovingly restored.

Recently stayed here and it was the highlight of our trip. Highly recommend staying here. The rooms are very comfortable, the beds awesome. Jan and Michael are wonderful hosts and great cooks. Very definitely will stay here again. If you like to bike this would be the place to stay.

We were traveling by bike, with my sister and her husband, riding from Pittsburgh to Washington DC. I can't say enough good things. Very close to the trail - easy to get to! Beautiful to the eye inside and outside! Upon our arrival we were greeted with an immediate tour of what was what - very helpful! Then asked "would you like a glass of wine or a beer" - would we ever! After getting organized sat on the beautiful front porch with our drinks and a great appetizer that was offered to us.

The rooms are all huge, beautiful and tastefully decorated. We stayed in the carriage house. It had it's own patio and table, washer and dryer, large bedroom with ample sitting area - very tastefully decorated. See my photo's.

The owner's/innkeepers, Jan & Michael, were so warm and friendly without being overbearing. We had a wonderful warm breakfast before heading out on the trail.

We plan to come back with a larger group possibly next fall. Spend the weekend riding the GAP Trail and relaxing at the Inn. By the way you can schedule a massage while your there. They have thought of everything!

Thanks to our host for a wonderful time! We enjoyed every second of it!

P.S. Need to add - the linens on the bed were wonderful, the bed was very comfortable, the bath towels were of the highest quality, wonderful robes to put on after your shower, very, very clean everywhere, and all the little amenities you'd expect from a top rated B&B.

Room Tip: There are great photo's on their website showing all the rooms. We loved the Carriage House. I haven't read any other reviews before writing this - but - I do want you to realize this is a trail town - the trail is on an old rail right of way - so Yes - there is train noise because there is still an active rail line. BUT there is train noise on the entire trail so this was never an issue for us. But on the nightstand are earplugs if you need them. They have thought of everything!

This B&B was tops. Stayed there on a bike trip on the Great Allegheny Passage. Beautiful Victorian mansion with large rooms, jacuzzis, and great beds. Hosts were delightful and the breakfast was the best!!
