The Tyler arboretum is a lovely place to spend an afternoon with the family. Picnic tables are available and the tree houses are a blast Great place for little kids. the butterfly house is lovely and the trails are a great place to walk. nature trails are very pretty. summer camps are available that provide an educational experience.

Kids 13, 10, and 3 all enjoyed it. Nice way to spend the afternoon with the family. There is a fee to enter but I recently saw a living social deal for 2 adults and 3 children that looked very good. Hoping to send my youngest to camp there next summer!

I lived in Delaware County for years and studied biology but never knew that the Tyler Arboretum was there - even though I had been to Ridley Creek State park adjacent to Tyler.

Tyler is a gem. It is 650 acres and has many trails through the deep woods and it has lots of specialized gardens like the Rhododendron one with rhodies the size of trees. They offer bird walks/identification for beginners and they have a super, permanent exhibit of large treehouses that kids of all ages were in. They give hundreds of classes, run field trips and have a butterfly house. I've built an Adirondack type chair there (actually a Wave Hill chair for the afficianados) and taken classes in nature photography and bee keeping.

I went top their Pumpkin Days festival in the Fall and it was packed with kids doing crafts, on rides or playing games while many of the adults were listening to the live music.

Every month i find new things they do. The evening of Blues, beer and pizza this month was sold out early. It's not all just trees and flowers!
I recommend people try it out and it's a great place for kids and very kid friendly. Their education staff are terrific from what i've seen.

They also have a new ADA compliant path trough some of the most beautify parts of the gardens so people in wheelchairs or similar can enjoy more of the arboretum.

I can only add to the positive reviews already submitted. It is a treat to visit, eespecially on a summers day. It is well cared for and the main trail is paved. Things to observe are well marked and accessable. Even the children are provided with things to see and to climb. I went there without my grandson but will return as soon as possible with him. The only issue is that the route to it is not well marked. Use your GPS to get to it, but I advise you to go as soon as you can
