We've stayed at Alpenhof a few times over the years and we have never been disappointed. Our last visit (May 2014) we were delighted to see Roland has added two separate bathrooms and another bedroom suite. The private baths are truly lovely, worthy of a spread in Architectural Digest. Another bedroom suite in the main house ground floor is also newly available; the couple staying in it loved it so much, they insisted we have a look at it after our luscious breakfast. Judy's breakfasts are first rate, during which we've always enjoyed our lively conversations with her, and Roland too when he is there. Décor throughout is beautiful, charming in every possible way, inside and out (English-style landscape). Alpenhof is also well located, just down the road from Ridley Park, where we love to hike. What more could you ask for?

We were so glad to see you again! You'll have to come back again to try out the Grand Mastersuite. Thanks for shutting off the tea pot for me!

Here's what I loved about this place:

- the endlessly fascinating decor;
- the carefully tended unique gardens;
- the graciousness of Roland and his folks;
- the family history that seems to be palpable in every corner;
- the food, of course;
- and the dogs.

We have stayed at Alpenhof B&B once a year since our first visit in 2008. We keep coming back because Judy, Roland and Anh have set the standard for a fulfilling B&B experience. Great service and attention to the details. The food is great with few limitations on what one can request. The warmth and caring keep us coming back. Their is no stagnancy. If there is the perception that lighting can be enhanced for reading and mood setting, Roland gets it done. The beds and linens are top notch and help to ensure that our rest is sound. We have stayed in three different rooms and each one becomes our new favorite. The grounds are well maintained and are a visual paradise, regardless of the time of year. Be it spring, summer or fall, Alpenhof is very homey and truly a home away from home, without intrusive relatives. I feel comfortable recommending this B&B to anyone.

Room Tip: The Grand Master Suite is close to the dining room, and is very private including a deck to walk out...

I really LOVE this place.... the architecture inside is very interesting & cool, grounds are beautifully landscaped, rooms are excellently furnished, clean & comfy. Judy is an amazing cook! Breakfast was so delicious, homemade cinnamon swirl bread french toast, (that's right she bakes them herself) real maple syrup, eggs, bacon, beautiful fresh fruit cup. Dee-lish! Would DEFINITELY go back!

Room Tip: Room was a bit small but perfect for just me, for more than 1 person I would definitely consider a b...

Stayed here while attending a conference in Philadelphia. The train ride to and from the city was nice, relaxing. Judy and Roland are wonderful people, who made my stay so nice. My room was VERY clean, and my bed was so very comfortable. It had everything you need for a comfortable, quiet, and relaxing stay. The breakfast was excellent - fresh fruit, coffee, and hot breakfast made to order. I will definitely stay here again!
