We stayed at the pub for 3 nights last week. The food is great. There are three menu's Al A Carte, a Supper Menu and Bar Menu. The food is home cooked to order and you can mix between menu's in the bar. The Chef/Landlord is driven by providing quality food, with a lot of thought given to presentation and large portions. The sweets are to die for. Don't be put off by the price as they are worth every penny in my opinion. Once again large portions, lots of cream and superb presentation. I had Vanilla Pod ice cream with toffee sauce as I thought it would be the least calories. Wrong I had several scoops of ice cream and lots of toffee sauce with garnish of strawberries and kiwi fruit with cream not to mention a homemade cookie. It was the best sweet I have ever had. I can also recommend the fresh fruit salad. You won't be disappointed with you meal. The staff are friendly and the pub has a lovely welcoming atmosphere.

We were yet again made very welcome by Toni and Mike and the food was up to the usual high standard. The qualityof the beer also deserves top rating with 3 local real ales and a good selection of wines and whiskys. The bar and restaurant have real character and help contribute to the overall experience. Accommodation is clean and well appointed. The Annex is well worth the small extra cost for the space that it offers.

We stayed in Richmond and ate here on a recommendation. There's a nice pub feel to the space and they have quite a variety of ales and nice wines. The food quality was great and well presented. Our booking was on file, so no problem there. Note that you need a cab if you are staying in Richmond, as it's quite a distance from town.

This is a great place to eat...Food is great whether you dine in the dinning room or the bar. The supper menu was just what we wanted in the relaxation of the bar. First class experience!

Previous reviews support our experience. We were staying at Washton Springs Farm and should have visited earlier as some of our other eating experiences in the area in the week we were there were disapointing.
Didn't meet the chef but found Toni and assistant a lot of fun and were key to the atmosphere. The menu was varied and more extensive than most and our choice of the daily pie and veg was terrific and an excellent portion. A vegetarian dinner was also prepared from the Menu by Toni.
Next time in the area I will be sure to visit again!
