The first time we stayed at the Bridgeview, I asked to stay an extra night. It's "home away from home atmosphere" is truly "home away from home". Keith, our innkeeper, makes that we. He's great. We have taken people there and they have repeatedly gone back. Looking forward to next time. Hopefully, very soon.

Great stay at the Bridgeview this past weekend. Keith (owner) and staff are awesome - great breakfasts and immaculately clean everywhere. Trains were running all the time - day and night. There is no better place for train watching and conversation with friendly people who are willing to share stories, information, and pictures. We will be back again and again...

Room Tip: all rooms offer something unique - trains are all over so there really isn't a bad room/view - a...

Our stay here was absolutely wonderful, unfortunately, when writing our first review, somehow a 2 star rating was submitted when we wanted the Bridgeview B&B to receive a 5 star rating. There also wasnt any way to edit our review once it was submitted. Our apologies go out to Keith (the proprietor)., a very nice man, who even went out of his way to find us a detour into Harrisburg due to the storm and flooding in the city. You wont be disappointed staying here. One of the cleanest, well kept B& B's we ever stayed in. Barb cooked a wonderful breakfast as well! Again, we are so sorry about the review debacle.

I want to first say that this was the best bed and breakfast I've been to. I've also been to some fancy hotels, and I'd rather come back here than return to some of them!

1. I think that every "train nut" as myself should make it a priority to stay here at least ONCE. The place is located in the southwest corner of a giant 'H' of train lines, with the immaculate Rockville Bridge being the middle of this 'H' (A larger 'H' of train lines is to the south in Harrisburg; train viewing spots are endless). Owner Keith Latimer knows his stuff. A viewing room with a schematics board showing area train movements, wide windows, cozy chairs and recliners, binoculars, and a plethora of train magazines...what more could a railfan want??? Trains pass to and fro sometimes at an average of a train every 10-15 minutes, all day and night.

2. You don't have to be a train watcher to appreciate the unmatched views of the Susquehanna River and surrounding mountains; despite the railroad action, this B&B is nestled in a quiet spot with a wrap-around deck for gorgeous open views and some shady, peaceful spots as well.

3. The breakfast? YUM. Homemade and plentiful. A fridge and microwave in a lovely kitchen is available for guests. Local homemade jams and jellies (and Dutch apple butter) can be enjoyed with breakfast. Loved it all.

4. The location cannot be beat. Interstate 81 is a little over a mile south. US 11/15 is directly west. Downtown Harrisburg can be reached in 15 minutes. Numerous destinations such as Hershey, Lancaster, and Gettysburg can all be reached in roughly an hour, give or take. By the way, a trip to Strasburg Railroad (45 mins southwest) is a MUST for railfans.

5. Last but not least, this place feels more like a homey family visit. A place to unwind. A place to appreciate the simplest things. Rooms do not have TV's in them; this place is designed to have as few distractions as possible. It's made for camaraderie, quiet time, romance, and strangers becoming friends. Keith has done a marvelous job. The rooms and entire place is spotless and well-maintained with a great staff as well.

One of my favorite places EVER.

Room Tip: It's best to book a room at least 3 weeks in advance; word of mouth "keeps" this place...

We choose to stay here because it was recommended by railfans we met during a trip to Folkston, GA to watch trains. When I read the Trip Advisor reviews, I was sold. The rooms are clean, comfortable and in the PERFECT spot for watching trains. Keith is helpful, friendly and knowledgeable about train-related and other activities in the area. His staff will start off your day right with a filling and ample breakfast. The location satisfied our five-year-old son's desire to watch trains yet wasn't too far for our excursions to the Amish country and Hawk Mountain. If you want a spot to watch trains or just relax off the beaten path, this is the place to stay. We will be back.

Room Tip: The Allegheny room is a corner room so you can step out your door and see trains coming across the r...

My wife and I have stayed here 3 times since I wrote my last review. The place keeps getting better. Keith and his crew keep the rooms (as well as everything else) immaculate! We stayed this past weekend and were treated to 2 outstanding breakfasts on both Saturday and Sunday. Plenty of trains for the most avid railfan and even some bald eagle activity in the hills behind the B&B. Good breakfasts, excellent train watching and a bunch of friendly people made for another outstanding weekend.

Room Tip: Every room is comfortable
