“Thank you, another wonderful stay!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 28, 2012

We recently returned from our 9th stay; 6th trip to Pocono Palace. We love the Palace!! The staff is outstanding; from guest services to maintainence. They are always so friendly and helpful. I like that the resort is just one building, you don't have to hop from one building to another. The grounds are not too big, you can walk to the Arena from your room if you choose to do so. My husband likes to play golf so each time we go we play. The course is good, the 8th hole is unplayable due to the close proximity of the roadway and the winter plowing. It's not pristine but playable. The games/activities they have during the day are anything from pool jarts, backseat driver to bingo and horseracing. Now these are just some of the summer outdoor games, the winter games will vary. There is also the on property activities; archery, paddle boats, speed boat/banana boat rides, to the indoor game room, mini golf and b-ball court. Snowmobiles and cross country skiing in the winter. They just built a bocce ball court this summer. There are not enough hours in the day to do it all!
We stayed in the Champage Tower; first time since 2005, and it was everything I remembered. Love the starlight ceiling in the bedroom and above the jacuzzi. The room when we walked in was very clean. They had recently painted around the pool. They have removed the egyptian painting from the front doors and the room we had no longer had the pyramid mural in the pool room.
The food is great! If you go hungry while you are here it is your own fault! The breakfast buffet is large and has many things to choose from. The "quickie" is their breakfast in bed service. It is just cereal and breakfast sandwiches but it is good. If you want you can order your breakfast in bed early and then go down the dining room for the buffet before 11am.You can also order from the kitchen if there is something you like; such as an omlet or toast. On the slower days, you order from the menu. The lounge has appetizers starting at 5pm and each evening they have a late night snack. Dinner is very good - during the week you order from the menu. Friday it's "Fat Paulies" a large Italian buffet and Saturday night is "Strip Night" sit down steak dinner. They also have the cafe that you can order from during the day or room service, but it is additional. They also have a cooking show "Flames of Passion" where Janice makes some great tasting recipes that you get to taste. You also get a copy of the recipe so you can make it when you return home. The drinks at the bar are a bit high, but not outrageous. $5.00 domestic beer and mixed drinks can vary. Some you even get to keep the glass.
The evening entertainment is not something I can really comment on, we usually do not stay. However the band Group Du Jour is fabulous! They keep you moving on the dance floor, from slow dances to the cupid shuffle! You must see the XXX Newleywed/not so newleywed game! It is very funny and very raunchy. Those who are easily offened by sexual humor should not watch. But they also have a rated R one, too.
I have seen a lot of reviews where people have issues to what type of tv is in the room, to spider webs in the outdoor light fixtues. They are always updating the resort; adding flat screen tv's, repainting, removing/replacing wallpaper, putting the new blush beds in the rooms. But they are also having to do this all around the rooms being occupied. There are comments that it is dated from the 70's and 80's. Since I grew up in these eras, I guarantee you that there is no shag carpeting, no psychadelic wallpaper or large orb light fixtures. If you are coming here and have issues with what kind of tv is in the room or the outdoor light fixtures then you are missing the point. However if anything is not to your liking, let them know!!!! They will do everything they can to make it right. If you don't say anything how are they to know you are not satisified?
But most of all it's what we get out of one another from our stays here. We have quality alone time to be together to talk, laugh, love and to play like a kid again. Everything else, the room, the staff and the activites help us to do just that. To take a 'time out' of life and responsibilities and just be the two of us.
Thanks again Pocono Palace!! Cannot wait to come back!

I loved this place. It was our honeymoon. It was very private, the staff was friendly and the grounds are well kept. We went horseback riding and took a carraige ride on the property. There is also lots to do. There is a restaurant on the property, a pool, a gym. We played couples bingo, and loved the hot tub. We stayed in the champage room which I loved. The shower was lovely and the champane glass hot tub was lovely. I would recommend this resort for couples only. No children. There was also a heart shaped pool in our room. The oval bed was the most comfortable bed I have slept in thus far. The price was good, and there are outlets not far from the resort so you can enjoy ... shopping.

Room Tip: All the rooms are great.

We had a wonderful time. This was our 20th stay. The staff is friendly and attentive. There is so much to do here. We could have used more than two days to do everything we wanted to. We barely had time to hang out in the heart shaped pool and the champagne Jacuzzi. Of course we made time by not getting much sleep. The room was clean and we noticed had recently been updated. We went to a tequila tasting and the next day a beer tasting in the lounge. The hostess was fun and knowledgeable. The food at dinner wasn't as amazing as usual, but still good. The atmosphere is just the place to have a good time and enjoy being with your spouse. If possible book your room for at least three nights. We recommend Pocono Palace to everyone we know (even people we don't know).

Room Tip: Be sure to book a room with a pool. There are four choices of suites with pools.

It was our first time at the resort and we really enjoyed our selves. The room I choose had every thing to offer. Roman Towers is the best, if you are planning to book a trip to Pocono Palace Resort book a room at the roman towers it worth your money. We didn't need the room for anything except for eating and to join the activity. We enjoyed the pool in the room, champagne glass tub was a plus. The breakfast was great they had everything you wanted and it was buffet style. Dinner was great too. The bar was also great too, i'm not a big drinker but I did enjoy the tropical sangraia. I would highly recommend this resort to any one who wants to get away and have some alone time. It's definitely worth the money and the time you will spend with each other. I'm already thinking about planning our next visit their.

We just got back from a stay at the Pocono Palace Resort last week. We absolutely love it there. It’s definitely our favorite place to go on vacation. We’ve been many other place, but the Palace has got them all beat. The Fantasy Apple Room is great. Very clean and we love having our own private pool and deck. The activities were so much fun. They definitely know how to keep everyone entertained. The outdoor pool area is nice. Love the outdoor cabana. Sitting by the pool and having a drink or something to eat is very relaxing. The food is amazing. You can get breakfast delivered to your room or go to the dining room for a huge breakfast buffet. We opted for the buffet as my husband is a big eater. Dinners are excellent. You definitely get a lot of food choices. I would totally recommend going for Fat Paulie’s on Friday’s (Italian Fest). All kinds of Italian food and desserts. Then you have strip night on Saturday. Steaks to die for. Finally we get to the staff. Everyone (I mean everyone) treats you like family. I can’t say enough about the managers, cocktail waitresses, CXO’s, dining room staff, and bar staff. Everyone at the resort deserves a big kudos. I absolutely love the staff, the food, and everything about the resort. I would highly recommend this resort to any couples who need or want a vacation or a little getaway. It was definitely worth it and will be going back for many years to come.

Room Tip: Fanasy Apple room is beautiful and right by the oudoor pool. Close to everything

I wish we had booked another night at this resort. There is so much to do because all the activities are included... even golf! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are a wonderful kind of cheesy. It was fun to see my husband sitting in a champagne hot tub. And having a leisurely swim in the heart-shaped pool in my room was a bit sinful. There is a sexy romantic vibe to the place and it doesn't seem to matter if you are in your 20s or your 70s!

You would never have to the leave the resort. The breakfast buffet had something for everything. The hors d'oeuvres at 5pm and late night snack were different each day. The dinner menu had something for everyone. The cocktail waitresses during dinner weren't pushy and the photographer offered to take our picture every night. But they weren't pushy either.

There were planned activities everyday starting at 1pm and every night there was entertainment in the lounge. On our final night there was an awesome magician who was also hilarious. I will admit that the drinks in the lounge were on the expensive side, but that's to be expected.

Overall I can't wait to go back. There were so many things that we didn't have time for on the resort.

Room Tip: I would suggest asking for a Garden Apple, Fantasy Apple or Champagne Tower.
