Good food, good service and nice ambience. Would go there again. Close enough To Ascot House Bed and Breakfast that could have walked if the weather had been nicer.

With the town being fairly quiet, you can tell where the hot spots are for the locals. The street was packed with cars by this pub that has more than meets the eye. The restaurant is very dark inside and we were seated in the “outdoor” section. Being that it was March, we didn’t know what to expect. But they have enclosed the outdoor section and they have heaters all over and added faux foliage to make it appear that you are outside. The bartender did an excellent job to take care of us while overseeing the bar as we were a few tables outside of the bar area. My wife had the vegetable stir fry and it was very well cooked and had an amazing flavor and spice. I had the fish and chips after seeing numerous order pass me by. The beer batter was very good, full of flavor but not too thick. The fish was flaky and cooked really well. The prices are very reasonable as well.

My husband and I eat here regularly. It has a nice pub atmosphere, excellent food and a great selection of beers at a reasonable price. The staff is very friendly.

This was a quick walk on a cold night from the B & B we stayed at. The service, food and location were a welcome finale to our arrival evening.

Great food and drink (unbelievable beer selection!), reasonable prices; good music on Fridays. Make a reservation and enjoy.
