“A hidden gem!”
Reviewed November 3, 2013 via mobile

Food was good, service was great, atmosphere was that of a true college town. We went with another family, having 3 six-year-olds between us, and were served quickly and efficiently.

They did not have milk for the kids but had lemonade. The birch soda is very different and truly 'birchy.' The beer selection was great!

We went during 1/2 price wings. My hubby got the grilled wings - hot- and they were HOT! Very peppery.

I had the ginger chicken stir fry and it was made per my request-without peppers or onions- and tasted fantastic. We had the homemade soft pretzels which were a bit small for $4.50, but tasty. The mustard they serve with them is also very spicy.

My side salad was a nice surprise. The croutons were very garlicky but it was a nice salad. Generous portions. The meatloaf was unbelievable and a huge portion.

We were all very happy. Our order with an appetizer, two entrees, 3 beers and a dozen wings with ranch/blue cheese and celery came to $55. Not too bad for what we got!

“Welcomed & well fed”
Reviewed October 14, 2013

Based on the sign outside, I wasn't sure what to expect. I had been away from town in a long time. But pleasant experiences piled one upon the other once I entered. First, that immediate sense of quiet welcome that is uniquely Mansfield, Pennsylvania. 2nd, a nice diversity and comraderie in seeing older local folk and younger student-types from all over. 3rd, friendliest wait staff who invariably seemed to be the son or daughter of old friends. The place was comfortably decorated and clean. Young Dan Wildhorse pointed out how most of the food items on the menu were of local origin and fresh made, such as the soft pretzels I had. They sell their own tasty beer some nice hard cider and wine.
This little brew pub is a gem. I look forward to returning for Monday night pizza.

“Granola brew pub”
Reviewed September 18, 2013 via mobile

Nice atmosphere, and the mug club os a pretty cool idea I have nevere seen before, though can not just buy a mug. Food was pretty good, the meatloaf was one of the best I have ever had. Beer is good, but definately try some first. The service kind of stunk, had to keep asking for napkins, refill, ect. Overall was good.

“No more chances”
Reviewed September 15, 2013

We have stopped here on two occasions. The first time just for drinks and the most recent for a burger and drinks. I must say I am not impressed with the beer. We have traveled the country extensively and have visited a few breweries. This one is not impressive.
As for the burgers, the meat itself was exceptional. The seasonings not so much. There was an excess of both pepper and garlic. There was so much pepper , that it was floating around on my plate. I would not recommend this dish to anyone. If you do eat here, ask for a burger without their interpretation of how a good burger should be seasoned. Also, when ask if you would like their homemade chips pass and opt for the fries. I can't attest to the fries; but, will tell you the chips were cold, BROWN, and salty.
All of this, two burgers , a wine, and a beer for $30.00 dollars.
There are too many good places in town to waste your money and time here.
