I have visited this complex several times to see Basketball Tournaments, most recently this past weekend. The facility is huge and the first issue you face is finding your way around the complex. Signage is very sparse. My main complaint is that spectators seem to be an after-thought! One would expect that the entry fee would ensure seating.......NO! There is very limited seating around the courts and on some courts none whatsoever. People wander around carrying chairs from wherever they can find them. Parking can also be an adventure, be prepared for a long hike from your vehicle to the entrance. A shuttle service might be something they could introduce,

The Spooky Nook Sports Complex is an absolutely amazing place. It's like a small city inside a huge building and the outside area has multiple fields for soccer, lacrosse, baseball, etc. We were there to compete in the Blue Chip USA Invitational Basketball Tournament, which was held on 30 courts all in one place!

There are plenty of things to do at Spooky Nook even for those who are not there to play basketball....climbing walls, arcade, food court, etc. This is an exceptional place with very friendly employees who played an integral part in making this trip to Spooky Nook a truly memorable and enjoyable experience for our players, their parents and our coaches.

We were here this week for USA Field Hockey's National Futures tournament. Obviously because it is summer there are not quite as many events going on at the same time as the last time we were here for the National Indoor Tournament. Parking did work much better (although the angle of a few cars seemed to be a bit off - sideways perhaps). I was, however, disappointed on Monday morning when I had to be there at 7am that none of the concessions (COFFEE) were open. I was fine with ditching my Starbucks on Saturday and Sunday to purchase coffee on-site (no beverages allowed in) and then shocked to see others walking in with their coffees on. Monday. Please be considerate of those of us who have games very early in the morning and post signs that we will be allowed to bring our own beverages on weekdays or have the concession stands open (even if it's coffee and fruit and sodas only) for us. You want us to follow the rules - be specific about the rules (common courtesy).

We regularly enjoy many different activities here as this is a world class sports facility. The variety and quality of the activities offered is unmatched. The problem is that operationally, the place is a mess. When the Nook first opened I did not write a review as I wanted to give them the benefit of some time to get the kinks out. It looks like the kinks are a basic part of the culture there.

TIP: Look for the additional parking on the right as you pull in. Wear boots if it is raining - the parking lot turns into a swamp.

This facility is outstanding. The only real problem is that they soak you for every penny they can get. It is kind of tacky to have to pay such high admission prices and parking prices for every day of a tournament that cost about $500 to play in. The staff was GREAT. They just need to do a better job of finding good officials. Some are very good, but some are too green to be doing games at this high level of competition. Overall though, it is a great complex and we will be coming back.
