Just the best farm market ever. There so many vendors selling vegetables, meats, sandwiches, fried foods, baked goods, clothes and pretty much anything else you might need. There is an excellent flea market and auction. One of my favorite foods is a fried oyster sandwich, another is the Pit Beef Sandwich. You will be amazed. Plan on spending half a day for your first visit.

I have been going to this farm market for many years. This place is the best market I have ever been to. I travel througout the country (Texas, Florida, Maine, New Mexico and all states in between) but this market is still my favorite!

This is the first time that my wife and stopped at Root's and I'm sure it won't be the last. The worst part was the traffic to get there and to leave and that it is only opened on Tuesdays. There was plenty of everything from food to clothing. You will not go hungry there are many places to eat. There were plenty of vegetable stands. The prices were excellent and quality was great. I would recommend this place to all. Give yourself plenty of time to shop as you will need it(2-3 Hours)! Get there early and go to the back parking lot over the railroad tracks as it is easier to get out of when it is time to leave. You will not be disappointed. You will have fun. And very important the restrooms were clean and not a port- a- potty in sight!

Located near Manheim, PA, this place is a bit difficult to find, but definitely worth the trip. It's only open on Tuesdays, but it's huge. In the midst of Amish Country, this market contains the usual flea market stands, but also a number of Amish Bakeries featuring fresh baked goods from bread to desserts. We experienced the pleasure of a heavenly strawberry Danish. There are also a number of meat markets featuring lots of local sausages, cheeses, and other delectable. Fresh produce stands abound but, be careful. If you buy at the first stand you come to, the next one will probably be more reasonable. There is even an auction side of the market. When we were there, they were auctioning chickens, rabbits, and even a turkey. Plan to spend some time browsing and enjoying the sights, smells, and flavors.

Roots is the best farmers market around. It has the largest selection of produce, meat, baked goods, canned goods, nuts, tea,s candy and everything one might need to feed a family and for the home. The prices are the lowest if you shop around from vendor to vendor. The folks who man the family owned stands are most gracious and helpful. One can even eat a meal there while shopping. I wish that it were open 2 days a week instead of only on Tuesdays. The auctions at Roots are quite an experience if you have never been to one. Produce, flowers, shrubs and many other items are auctioned off in the late afternoon into the evening. Some excellent bargains can be found there also. The parking is very plentiful.
