“Cheap Trick = Poor Sleep”
Reviewed August 3, 2012

The air conditioner is tied to a motion sensor. If you don't move, the air conditioner shuts off. So this means when you sleep the air conditioner shuts off. I spent my first and last night here. Got awake every hour because the room became too hot. Got up and moved around until the motion sensor turned the air back on, then slept for another hour. Finally had to give-up. When the air conditioner is off, the noise from the Turnpike, other rooms and the in-room refrigerator become loud noise.

It is a shame management pulls this cheap trick. The hotel has some nice features, but what difference do those make if you can't sleep? Other energy savers for this hotel include luke-warm water for the shower. Apparently the housekeeping staff believe in saving energy because I found stray hairs all over the bathroom; a long black hair was draped over my bathroom faucet.

Room Tip: This place is right on the Pennsylvania Turnpike, so be sure to get a room as far from that as possi...

We stayed here for a multi-family, multi-venue trip to Hershey Park and Dutch Wonderland. They were easily able to accommodate our special requests to be near one another, and the price was so amazing, I was afraid the place would be an awful dump. We were thrilled! It was easy to find right off the turnpike, was perfectly between the two parks (about thirty minutes to either one), but more importantly was spotless, modern, in good repair, and had wonderful amenities. The absolute best part is the breakfast. They say "hot" breakfast, which usually means some microwave oatmeal and powdered eggs. We were there for three nights, and other than the fresh oatmeal with multiple toppings and make-your-own waffles, we never ate the same hot foods twice! And the breakfast hostess, Noreen, got to know us by name and made everyone in the place feel welcome and at home, despite many very demanding guests. The only downside was the pool, which is beautiful and modern, but needs some repair and cleaning, but not enough to drive us away. We WILL stay again.

Our daughter's soccer team had a tournament nearby and this hotel made the weekend perfect! The girls loved the pool, and the parents loved the outside seating area to relax and socialize. The staff was very accommodating and hospitable. The fresh mint tea and cookies were a sweet treat in the afternoon. The breakfast was delicious with a variety of choices. The breakfast area felt like home and the seating area was spacious. Our large group went to dine at a local restaurant on Saturday evening, and to our surprise the hotel staff called ahead for us. We arrived at the restaurant and had a private room for 20 waiting for us! Overall, a great stay!

Our travel team booked rooms well in advance as a group for Matt Hogan Lacross Tournament. Several rooms weren't ready upon check- in. None of the rooms were cleaned during our weekend stay. The sales manager that handled the reservations Doni Lefever, had many excuses as to why the service was lax if non existant in areas however offered no apology or compensation. For the $$ amount paid for these below average sized rooms I would expect better service. During our discussion she advised she was reconsidering being a part of the Hogan Tournament next year so beware if you choose to stay here. For the first time in my travel experience the sales manager seemed aggravated that the hotel was sold out instead of grateful for the business. I will say on a positive note the majority of the staff was professional and courteous. However due to the lack of basic services I would not recommend this hotel for large groups.

Great stay overall. Breakfast was good, amenities in the room were nice, free wifi, wonderful and courteous service. Pool was open and clean. The one negative is they have smoking rooms so if you don't smoke you do not want to stay in these rooms.
Best of all only 20 min to Hershey Park. Also there is a fab Italien restaurant in Lebanon.

Booked room for 2 nights. Nice hotel but we came back to our room at 6pm to find it had not yet been made up or serviced. Desk staff stated they were sort staffed but offered no apology. They did state they would alert housekeeping.
