“Great Service, Great Place”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 23, 2012 via mobile

Relatively new hotel. Convenient to business parks. Excellent facilities for business and food. Great people working there. Excellent breakfast.

Ask for an executive room if available. Can't beat Marriott properties.

My family and I stayed at this Marriott location this past weekend while visiting Longwood Gardens. The hotel highly exceeded my expectations and if we ever travel to this area of PA again we will definitely be back! The friendly and helpful staff, along with the CLEAN and modern, over-sized rooms made it an awesome stay! The location is easily accessible and centered in the newly developed area of town. The beds are comfy, the bathroom was huge and there were enough pillows for a football team! Thanks for a pleasant stay!

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the rear of the building.

Wow, You made the Staffs day! Thank you for your wonderful response. Most guests think of us as a corporate hotel when in fact we are centrally located to a variety of local attractions such as Longwood Gardens.
It is very nice of you to take the time to comment on your experience here. Please come back and see us soon!

Most Sincerely,

I've stayed here twice already and must say I prefer the Coutyard Marriott in Malvern over the two other hotels I've stayed at in the area: Holiday Inn Express and Shareton on 30 in Frazer. The breakfast buffet is good (although not free unless you get it included in your rate). The parking lot is typically full with a few spots to the sides. That tells me it's a pretty popular place. The front desk & restaurant staff are great as well. Always friendly.

The only criticism I have lies with the rooms...
- Hallways/doors can be noisey with doors closing loudly (why can't hotels have "soft close" doors or thick sound proofing), cleaning staff in the morning starting their shift, or if you're on the side facing highway 29 you'll hear trucks/cars all night long... thankfully my last stay had me in a room facing the back side which is a lot quieter.

-Beds are hard... I really prefer the soft beds provided at Hampton Inns... this is one area this Courtyard could replicate to enhance the experience.

-Price. I guess it's the market, or I'm getting old, but close to $200 a night, even with my corporate discount, seems extraordinarily high for Malvern. It's the market rate though as other hotels in the area are similarly priced. I just can't get over that this area commands that rate. Collusion? :)

So far, this is my first choice for a hotel in Malvern

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the back, away from the elevators and housekeeping closet.

Thank you for your comments. It is great to get solid feedback so we may address some of the concerns you have.
The beds are a Marriott standard you are correct, each hotel brand does have their own makes and styles.
Courtyards do in fact charge for our breakfast but I'm sure if you compare it to some of the complimentary offerings at the other hotels you will find it is worth the money.
As far as price you are once again correct. We are the newest hotel in the area (Malvern) and offer the nicest accomodations therefore we command a little higher rate than the rest. With Marriott you will always have an exemplary stay.
Thanks again for taking the time to respond, it endeavers us to keep on our toes.
Come back again, you are always welcome.

Sincerely,

David Arena

This is a great Courtyard property in the Philly area. First impression walking in was clean, well maintained lobby. Then on the way to the room I found clean halls with fresh carpet and a fresh scent. The room continued the trend, clean, up to date and had everything I needed to work and refresh for the next day. "Ryan" down front was beyond helpful, even brought my take out up to the room! I found the service solid and the room had no issues of note. This stay was welcome at the end of a long day on the road.

Excellent location right off 29 with ready access to a good number of restaurants within a few minutes driving. Very much a standard Courtyard hotel with a room with King size bed and new furniture. Excellent work area with good desk and 1 Mbps internet. Large HD TV with a some HD channels and many analog channels. Bathroom good size with medium to high-end towels and lots of them. Standard clean bathroom amenities (medium quality). small alarm clock, mini-fridge and single cup coffee maker in room. A heat and a/c unit was the "under window" style with a digital wall thermostat. Friendly and helpful staff was very professional and well dressed in uniforms and name tags. Small pool and small work-out area completes the picture of a clean and well run Courtyard hotel.

Nice newer hotel. Nice rooms with their new updated look, granite and higher end finishes. Close to main line and exton locations. Great location for local large companies and high quality for a good nights stay. Great pick
