I never ate chocolate cake as good and moist as here. The food was good but not great. Service was excellent. Definitely coming back.

“Service was great”
Reviewed September 21, 2012

Food was in the "pretty darn good" category. I don't agree with others that it "average." Coming from the midwest, the prices were slightly higher than we normally have for this type of location, but we found that to be true EVERYWHERE in the east. Overall, the historic setting was very nice to enjoy, and the food was good. I for one didn't think it was too much food, but am actuallly glad to see some restaurants not think that a doggie bag is required when eating out. We had a problem at the end our meal as our payment was declined because of my mother's idiotic husband back home calling in the card to be cancelled....while we were out at dinner. As he did with every single card (he's an idiot...he couldn't find his own so he cancelled them ALL...while we were traveling out of town.). We tied up their phone line for a good 30 minutes trying to get things resolved so we could pay and they were very understanding about it.

“Nice atmosphere. Okay food.”
Reviewed August 25, 2012

A lovely historic inn. Great atmosphere. The food and drink are average. This is an okay place to get lunch or dinner, or to stop in for a drink. You'll have a good meal, but nothing terribly special. Since the change in management a couple of years ago they have opened up the bar area and added a number of beers to their menu. This is a big plus.

“Good food and drink in a quaint old building”
Reviewed August 9, 2012

It is an old historic looking building. We had the skirt steak (their best seller), scallops, pork medallions and short ribs. All were very good. The pork is mainated in a mustard bourbon sauce with grilled onions.

“Great food, great service”
Reviewed July 30, 2012

Traveled to Allentown, PA to go to Dorney Park this past weekend with my boyfriend and another couple. Searched this restaurant online, was nearby where we were staying. Figured we'd try it. The food was great, can't complain much, and the service was great as well! We asked the waitress about local stores and shopping, and she could not have been more helpful!! Very accomodating, we had a great meal there. Not too pricey, either!
