Fabulous place with fabulous service (thanks Tracy xx :) and great food, the limitless 'champagne' is a highly recommended hangover cure. Scenic and beautifully furnished too. But, what is scrapple and was it safe to eat it?

“Breakfast and Brunch are AWESOME”
Reviewed January 28, 2013

If you stay in the hotel, you get free breakfast on the weekends. This is one of the greatest deals in the world... no joke.

The breakfast is truly awesome and always impresses; plus you can literally order anything you want. The waitress has told us twice that we are only limited by our stomachs.

I have had the salmon, lox, capers and onions. A+
Woodcock (smoked salmon and eggs). A+
French Toast: A+
etc

Honestly, if you are considering going here for breakfast just stay the night before. That way you have an awesome night out and a fantastic free breakfast in the morning. WIN WIN.

“Sunday Brunch Is A Must”
Reviewed January 23, 2013

This is the deal of the year! My husband and I had Sunday Brunch at the Black Bass and paid $35 per person to have this amazing four course meal. Each course was perfect and the champagne was simple and refilled often. To start I ordered from the first course the salmon mouse and liver pate on crostini and my husband ordered the apple crepe. I thought the salmon mouse was smoky and delightful. Next course was the yogurt, berries, and homemade granola. They accomendated us by holding the yogurt because we both can't eat yogurt. The granola had an amazing texture and did not have tons of honey or cinnamin which I enjoyed. The main course you can choose from a variety of breakfast dishes or lunch dishes. My husband went for steak and eggs. He was impressed with the quanity. He said the steak alone would have cost 30 bucks at a restaurant! I had the crabcake which was on the smaller side, but came wth an amazing beurre blanc sauce and rice and veggies. The dessert was the best. The apple crisp was outstanding. We left full and happy and will recommend this place for Sunday Brunch any day. Plus, the view was spectacular and relaxing!

“Our Wedding Spot.”
Reviewed January 10, 2013

We have enjoyed the Black Bass many times for their Sunday Champagne brunch and regular dining visits. We thought it would be a great spot for a small wedding. The management discussed our options and we all agreed. We had an outside ceremony on their porch overlooking the river on December 31st with 20 guests. The menu was excellent, the service was exceptional. Everything came off without a hitch.

The atmosphere of the building has always been great and we overnighted for two nights there before the honeymoon. Everyone told us they had a great experience at our event. I hope this place remains for the rest of our lives so that we can revisit our very special spot as often as our schedules allow.

“A destination experience, exceptional!”
Reviewed January 7, 2013

The hotel and restaurant are exceptional: our hotel room had a massive antique bed with an iron railed balcony overlooking the river. A very romantic room. The restaurant was exceptional. the menu featured creative presentations of crab, fish and beef and every item looked delicious and attractive. Although the restaurant was very crowded the service was excellent, management ensured everyone was looked after and the meals were served simoultaneously and hot. My wife had the Classic au gratin crab with reduced cream, I had the Oven Roasted Sea Bass. The steaks looked excellent and everyone at surronding tables enjoyed their selection as much as we did. The bar is small but convivial and interesting.

If anything, we thought the menu was underpriced for the quality and preparation involved.
