Took 3 granddaughters age 8 to 13. Kids and grandparents found the entire experience very educational. The guides are all volunteers but they know their stuff. We learned more in 2 hours about wolves than we knew in 60 years. The girls enjoyed hearing about the personalities of the wolves and the 'rules' that run the packs. Seeing the wolves in their natural habitat helps you understand their stories. We want to go back in the winter time as the guides say that is best as the wolves are wearing their thickest coats and the underbrush no longer obscures the animals. Snow on the ground adds to the beauty. If you want an education via a unique, fun and interesting experience the Wolf Sanctuary is the place to go. We felt the admission price was reasonable considering it was helping to maintain the facility. Wear walking shoes as the wolves live in hilly areas. The full moon tour really sounds good, gonna try that some day too!

We traveled a little over an hour to see the wolves with our teen-aged children and were not disappointed. For a sanctuary of about 45 wolves it seemed to be well organized. The wolves started our tour with a bit of howling which was the coolest thing ever. Our tour guide, Mancy, was very enthusiastic, knew the wolves past and present by name and our tour lasted about an hour and a half. We ended the tour in the gift shop where things weren't over-priced, how nice. I would definitely go back, but try to get reservations for a weekday tour instead of a weekend tour seeking a more intimate group for my many questions. The one improvement we'd like to see in an otherwise completely enjoyable experience, is that we'd like less focus to be on the wolves that had passed and more focus on the present and future of this sanctuary including the daily routines and wolf advocacy. A unique experience that you couldn't get in a zoo or national park -well done!

Where can you see wolves up close howling? The wolf sanctuary in litiz! This place is awesome! The fee is worth the tour. It pays for the food and housing for the animals. Our tour guide Matt knew everything and anything you would ever want to know. We even were able to see and hear most of the wolves howling at once. The tour lasted 2 hours!

This was quite an experience to hear how wolves behave. Our guide was very knowledgeable and he explained it minute details the life of every wolf in this sanctuary. These wolves were originally pets from people, but wolves are wolves and so they found shelter in this sanctuary. We stayed with the tour for about 1h and a half. The guide had not even done half of the compound and we had to leave. Very fascinating tour though! One nice thing about this tour, all proceedings support the sanctuary.
