We saw a brochure advertising Wilbur Chocolate Co. and then went to have the advertised tour of the chocolate factory and to see how chocolate is made with our children. We thought that using the word "tour" was a bit misleading. They had a nice collection of historical chocolate packaging, you could see chocolate candies being made through clear window and there were some videos running as well in a few small rooms. They also provided samples of their delicious chocolate to try in the shop. I would say it is more of chocolate shop with a small museum where you can see some of the products being made rather than a tour. There was no one to guide you or explain the process etc. Anyway, it was nice (just different from what we anticipated), there was no fee for the self-guided "tour" and we enjoyed our visit. They had a nice range of gourmet chocolate products, candies and also items like chocolate lip balm. It's a nice little chocolate company and worth a visit for chocolate lovers.

RaJoRaKa, thank you for taking the time to share your review of our Wilbur Chocolate store with Trip Advisor, we appreciate it. Overall, it sounds like you enjoyed yourselves, despite the "tour" miscommunication. We are the cocoa and chocolate division of Cargill, Inc., one of the largest privately owned companies in the U.S. We hope that you'll get the opportunity to visit us again soon.

Nice collection of antique candy packaging and marketing items. Good chocolate, Apparently, their drop shaped chocolate pre-dates Hershey's kisses.

LW - Thanks for sharing your review with Trip Advisor, we appreciate it. And you know what? You're absolutely right! The Wilbur Bud was created 14 years before the Hershey Kiss and in the beginning the Buds were actually wrapped in foil! I know! Fun trivia! Again, thanks for visiting us and we hope you'll visit again soon.

Watch them make a variety of chocolate items. The chocolate is delicious. They are a small company and very select in its flavor and taste. The chocolate aroma follows you around the small museum. Only takes a small time to browse and buy.

This is very short. I'll start with that. There is a free walking "tour" if you wanna call it that. There are a few rooms with displays of old chocolate company memorabilia (which is cool, don't get me wrong) but it didn't hold my kids (7 and 5) attention for very long. I personally loved looking at the wall of gorgeous chocolate sets and now I want one. They have free samples of Wilbur's buds which is sort of their version of the hershey kiss. It tastes different though and it was good. They have lots of different types of chocolate to choose from. We bought the chocolate covered pretzels and they were SO GOOD! It is pretty pricey, so we couldn't buy as much as I wanted, but they have so many different types of things to choose from. I really wanted to try the assorted chocolates, but maybe next time. Worth going and supporting this chocolate company, but just know it's not going to take you very long, maybe half an hour and most of that half hour will be trying to decide which chocolate item to buy.

Chaundell, thanks for visiting us and bringing the family! You mentioned the Hershey Kiss--thought you might enjoy a little chocolate history--The Wilbur Bud was created 14 years BEFORE the Hershey Kiss and we still use the same scrumptious recipe! We're glad you like our Wilbur Buds! In case you can ever make it, we have a special day EVERY month for ALL ages to try their hand at being a chocolatier. Play Date Saturday is the last Saturday of each month; it costs ONE dollar per participant and whatever you make, you eat! Hope you can make it one of these Play Dates!
