Super amusement park! My husband and I took our kids and grandchildren many times over the years. What a fun place! There are things for everyone! The last time we were there, the weather turned ugly and they announced where to go to get free tickets to return another day!

We like all the attractions there. The rides are great. Didn't have to wait in long lines. The soak zone was nice. We did get rained out with bad storms, but we did receive a rain check to go back. My Granddaughter was told she could go on one of the water slides by herself, but when she got to the top she was told she was tall enough. All the lifeguards should know the height restrictions for all the slides.

What happened to this park? Idlewild & SoakZone had been over the years one of our favorite parks. Every year over the past 15, we would make our family trip to Idlewild. Let's start with Storybook, everything looks rundown down and needs a good paint job. The pond that the Good Ship Lollipop is sitting in looks like a Swamp Creature is going to come out of it.

Mineshaft - we spent $76.00 and waited in a huge line of about 70 people deep in the hot sun! For our wait, 5 fries and 4 drinks. We could have gone to Red Lobster for that price. (Actually the meal afterward at Applebee's was cheaper on the way home)

They closed the other lines in Mineshaft due to "lack of staff" - yes that's a direct quote from an employee when I inquired.

Everywhere we looked, food places closed. This was a perfectly sunny Summer day. Price of admission $41.99 (up from the $24.99 it use to be)

So the owners raised prices and didn't hire anyone?

Lines everywhere. Waterpark closes early. Ricky raccoon closes early. Park closes early (8pm)

For prices like these, save your money and go to a park that stays open and hires employees.

Every year I take my daughters' families to Idlewild. They range in age from 14 months to 11 years. They have a blast every year.
We take our annual walk through Storybook Forest. We spend some time in the jumpin' jungle. Then it's off to the Soak Zone for swimming. We usually rent a cabana on the lazy river and the kids go to the wave pool, the pirate ship, and the slides.
After the pool, we have dinner then ride until the park closes.
It's a great place for children of all ages.

i have a five year old, autistic son. He gets overstimulated easily. We were not expecting what happened the first time we visited Idlewild. The spaces are so wide open and the park is rarely uncomfortably crowded so he did amazing. So amazing, in fact, that we bought season passes. The season passes are worth every penny and there is so much for my son to do so he never gets bored with going there. Totally recommend for some clean, family fun without the madness of larger, busier parks!
