The food is good, somewhat overpriced. It is an old building but they have done a nice job of making it feel inviting. A friend raved about the onion rings but I was disappointed when I tried them - greasy and more coating than onion.
Now what makes this place memorable is Madeline (Maddie as she calls herself). She is a hoot! She isn't just funny, personable and delightful, she is knowledgable about ALL that is offered at the restaurant. You ask a question and you get a detailed explanation of what you are getting, how it is prepared, and all the ingredients. We were a party of 6 and she was on the ball taking care of us, anticipating our needs and making us laugh. She told us she works every day but Wednesday so if (when) I go back it won't be on a Wednesday.
