The food is good, somewhat overpriced. It is an old building but they have done a nice job of making it feel inviting. A friend raved about the onion rings but I was disappointed when I tried them - greasy and more coating than onion.
Now what makes this place memorable is Madeline (Maddie as she calls herself). She is a hoot! She isn't just funny, personable and delightful, she is knowledgable about ALL that is offered at the restaurant. You ask a question and you get a detailed explanation of what you are getting, how it is prepared, and all the ingredients. We were a party of 6 and she was on the ball taking care of us, anticipating our needs and making us laugh. She told us she works every day but Wednesday so if (when) I go back it won't be on a Wednesday.

We love the Pasta night on Wednesday evenings. The selection of meats and veggies is outstanding! Your entree is sauteed right in front of you, and the chef has a great personality and does a great job!

We frequent this restaurant at least a once or twice a month. This past Sunday we took my mother in law out for Mother’s Day. Let me start by saying the best part of the meal was the fresh tasty bread. Sadly, that’s where it ends. Two of the people in our party had the Seafood Newburg. It consisted of two scallops and two tiny shrimp. Both said it was tasteless. Daughter had a pasta dish with chicken and said she’s made much better at home. The lobster bisque that I ordered was so watery and looked to have three small pieces of Louis kemp’s “lobster” floating it it. Yuk. For the price of our meals, and the quality, not to sure we’ll be returning. Service was fine.

Never disappointed. I had their fish and chips. Large filet of haddock. Wife had seared scallops and continues to rave about the meal. Has large dining room, porch, and smaller dining room off the large horseshoe shaped bar.
