We went tubing on the Lehigh River on a dam release day (2 adults and 2 teenagers). Although the staff is very laid back, we had a good experience. The put-in spot is easy to get to, plenty of parking, and you park right where you enter the water (no bus ride). The water was cool but comfortable, some easy rapids, and beautiful scenery. We didn't have paddles, but it wasn't a problem. I was worried about the spot where we were supposed to get out, but the landmarks were accurately described, and the water is pretty shallow at this point, so you can very easily get out and walk over to it. There weren't a lot of other people, so it was pretty peaceful. The van comes and picks you up to bring you back to your car. We had two teenagers (14 and 16), and they had a good time. Although I would only go on a sunny, warm day. Note - there is only a Port-a-Potty on site, and they set up changing tents so you can change before getting back in your car.
