We were in Schaffer House Suite #2. The building appeared a bit rough when we first saw it but our suite was very nice, clean with a fully updated bathroom. We were on a golf weekend in the Ligonier area but the temperature hit 100 degrees and golf was out! Most stores and resturants could not keep up against this heat but the A/C in our room worked well and were very comfortable. We thought the Saturday breakfast was weak (fruits, pasteries and ceral) but the Sunday brunch that was included was outstanding and was very well supported by local guests.

Quaint hotel and a good price. We had room 1. TV was older than I am, but we didn't use it. Bathroom needs help, but was functional. Clean linens and comfy beds. Shockingly excellent food at the restaurant! Nice breakfast in the morning too. Pool area is very nice. Perfect place for a quick getaway for a night or two. Try the pie place across the street - insanely good! All in all, a good value and pleasant place to stay.

Room Tip: we had a "family room" so I'm thinking it will probably be a different experience in a...

Spent a weekend here for a wedding. Had room 6 (king room) and room 9 (queen and a daybed). Room air conditioners (wall units). Clean and quaint, but a little dated. Staff was courteous and attentive. Wedding reception was held on the property - very nice room and food was very good. Pool area was very nice. Good value.

Room Tip: Honeymoon suites are VERY nice. They have a house on the property that the bride's family rented...

We stayed one night on a Thursday night. We may have been the only guests that night. The room that they gave us had an strong odor that smelled to me like mildew. The shower curtain was not installed correctly and so it fell down when I went into the shower. The "country" decor was attractive maybe twenty years ago but the room needed to be upgraded and refreshed to appeal to guests today.

Room Tip: I would ask to see the room first and smell for odors.

Our daughter and her new husband live nearby so when we visited them shortly after their marriage, we stayed at the inn and were within walking distance of their house. We stayed in room 7 on the third floor and loved it! it was small, but perfect for us. We did not eat in the restaurant this weekend but have done so previously and the meal was quite good and the staff was very friendly and competent. The Sunday morning breakfast was excellent especially the homemade sausage. It is a beautiful old home that reminds me of my grandmothers house - with creaky stairs and everything!

We held our daughter and son in law's wedding reception at Ligonier Country Inn. It was the best venue for a wedding reception. The atmosphere was absolutely beautiful...with the use of the pool area and outside facilities along with the Carriage House, everyone commented what a beautiful place this is. Megan was a pleasure to work with as we planned out all the details. The entire staff was easy to work with. The food was equally good.
We were not aware the Ligonier Country Inn had the capability of handling larger wedding functions, but we couldn't be more pleased that we decided to celebrate our daugher and son in law's wedding here. If we had to do this all over again, I would not hesitate to choose Ligonier Country Inn again.
We also booked rooms for the night. The rooms were comfortable and clean and the breakfast buffet is worth the price of admission.
Ligonier Country Inn for wedding receptions has to be one of the best kept secrets. For anybody looking for a venue for their wedding reception...Ligonier Country Inn is a must.

We stayed here for a wedding and loved it! The Inn is old fashioned but very cute and cozy. We stayed in Room 7 on the third floor and found it to be perfect for us and our two small children. There was a little living room outside of our room that we sat in once the kids went to bed. It was a very relaxing time. The wedding was also great and I would recommend the Inn for your banquet or gathering. Cute little pool outside but it rained so we couldn't swim. Also, the included breakfast was nice and the waffles in particular were delicious!

Room Tip: Room 7 had a queen bed and a twin bed with a pull-out trundle below. We put up a pack'n'pla...
