The Smokehouse was actually recommended to us by a friend. I decided we'd give it a whirl for a 60 person luncheon after my Dad's funeral. Hands-down, they were one of the most accommodating purveyors of banquet-style dining in the North Penn area. Their staff is excellent. Everyone in there treats you like family. And, let's face it, what else matters if your hosting a funeral luncheon? The selection of dishes was good. You basically have the ability to select anything you'd like from the full menu and serve it in a buffet style. We were able to provide an ample selection of wraps and BBQ for our guests with good comments from most of them on how good the food was. I would definitely recommend the Smokehouse Tavern banquet area for any group entertainment for up to 50 people (they tout 80 max., but I think the 60 we had was tight).

Went here hoping to find another local eatery to choose from, but came away a bit disappointed.

Erratic service, average food from a reasonably priced menu with lots of choices. None of our party tried their Pizza offerings. The BBQ Beef Brisket was tender with a nice smoky sweet sauce.

The dining room, which shares the bar space, was open and spacious, but did not have a particularly warm feeling.

Thety have many differnt beers on taps. From Chimay to Double IPAs. I was verty impressed with the selection and tried many diffent beers. They only have one bartender so she had issues with serving many people and answering beer questions and providing samples. THey need another bartender. The food was ok and we eat it. THe Ribs were the best on the menue while sandwiches and wraps needed some help. THe suggestion is to add wait staff and improve your food quality and this place will be packed every night!

We we're seated by a bartender, to a dirty table, (and we were the first customers of the day) The waitress had nothing to say as far as food or drink specials or recommendations. We ordered chicken fingers, a bbq bacon cheeseburger medium we'll and sweet potato fries. The chicken fingers were delivered with marinara instead of offering any dipping sauces, the burger was over cooked. The only thing decent, was the sweet potato fries, at least someone knows how to use a deep fryer. Way overpriced too. Needless to say, we won't be back.

Visited this establishment on a weekday and arrived around 11:15am. The atmosphere of the place is great. Plenty of seating and even limited outdoor seating is available. The wall above the bar area is neatly decorated with large LCD televisions, so one is able to watch sports and even some news on their lunch break. We were kindly greated and seated. The restaurant was not packed, so there were plenty of seats available. We encountered a problem with the service. It took about 15 minutes after receiving drinks for the waitress to return for our food orders. It then took between 30 - 45 minutes for our food to arrive. At this point we needed to eat super fast in order to get back to work on time. Time between being seated and food arrival was about 1 hour. Most companies only allow for a 1 - 1.5 hour lunch break. I do not blame the waitress, but rather the extreme lack of adequate staffing on the floor, as well as in the kitchen. The food did arrive hot and was very good. The chips that came with the burger were clearly bagged chips from a grocery store. I would think a place like this might be able to fry up their own homemade chips for a touch of class, but overall everything was good. The price is also not bad, which helped me cope with the slow service. Overall, the place is nice and the menu is full of great choices at a reasonable price. Just be cautious about the amount of time you have available before entering through the doors.
