Sesame Place is a great place for children of any ages, the staff is extremely accommodating, friendly and helpful. The kids loved the shows and parades. I took a physically disabled little girl, she and us had an amazing experience, this is definitely a place you can take disabled children since a lot of the attractions are suitable and the shows are superb. Thank you sesame place for making this a memorable trip filled with smiles and laughter amidst pain, for a child who needed it so much!

Lots of water park rides and activities for small children. A bit pricey for a 2 year old (same price ticket as adult!!). Season pass is worth it if you live in the area and make day trips.

We have been going here for the past few years and continue to recommend it to all our friends. This is the perfect amusement park for kids from around 2 to 8 years old. There is a nice variety of things to do. We found that making 2 trips a year was a good incentive for upgrading to the season passes. Not to sound like an ad, but with the free parking, food and gift shop discounts and other perks it is worth it! Even the regular ticket is a 2 day one and you can buy that and then "upgrade" to the pass.

If you go in the summer, be sure to pack a swimsuit. There are lots of water options - from lazy river and water slides to just wave pools and water play for little kids. They have showers and changing facilities.

For those who want to stay dry there are a variety of amusement park rides. Bear in mind the target market, so don't expect any world class coasters, but your 6 year old will love being able to ride the one they have here! There are also play areas like a giant moon bounce and climbing nets. The carousel is always a favorite.

When you are ready to rest a bit, take it one of the shows. Be sure to check the schedule so you aren't disappointed. We always like to see Elmo's World and Elmo Rocks. We have never had problems with getting a seat as long as we arrive before the show starts.

One of the highlights of a visit is a chance to meet the characters and see them in that parade. Throughout the park there are lots of photo opportunities. Yes, the lines can be long at times, but isn't that part of the experience, giving a big hug to Cookie Monster? During the parade, families sit and stand along the route. Kids always seem to enjoy it.

A few other tips - check out the photo packages. They have a new system where you can buy a flash drive and then have all the photos you have taken uploaded to it for a flat price. It is a much better deal than paying per photo.

Bring a stroller! If you have a small child, you may want it at some point. We have left ours "parked" during shows and when we are in the water and on rides. However, NEVER leave anything of value in the stroller. Spend a few dollars and get one of the waterproof packs to bring your credit cards with you on the lazy river or get a locker. We usually just leave towels and clothes with our stroller.

If you like popcorn or fountain drinks consider the refillable options. We find they are a good deal and make a nice souvenir afterwards, as do the kids meal plates.

Remember, this isn't a park on the scale of Disney and it doesn't have rides or exhibits that will get your teenager excited. However, if you have someone who gets super excited about the idea of saying hello to Elmo then you are in for a treat!

Our 4yo and 2yo love Sesame Place. This is a nice park for the younger children. We are season pass holders so we make numerous trip there each season. They have a nice selection of dry rides, wet rides and several shows and a parade several times a day. It can get quite crowed so I agree its best to get there when the park opens. They have a nice selection of foods but it can get pricey. The good thing though is that with the kids meals they give you a souvenir plate (either elmo or cookie monster face) and a souvenir drink cup.

I always suggest that if you can visit at least twice a year, and possibly make it once a year to either Williamsburg Va for Busch Gardens and Water Country USA or Orlando Florida for SeaWorld and Aquatica its worth the cost of the Platinum Pass. With the Platinum Pass you get 30% off everything (food, dining experiences & merchandise) in Sesame Place and 10% off in the other Parks. You also get free parking at all the parks. Another perk is that you can get preferred up front seating at most but not all shows throughout the parks.

If you have a little one that loves elmo this is the place to go. Nice park. Be sure to book lunch with the characters! That was the highlight for our little one. A must do! Food really not great at luncheon so bear in mind you are going for the entertainment ! All the characters sing and dance and do one on one with the little ones. Great photo ops!! Water parks were nice to have to cool off. Good and entertaining shows. A fun day for lovers of Sesame Street :) be sure to get the two day pass. It cost the same as the one day but at least you have options if you want to go back the next day!! Great time!!
