We stayed here on a recent trip to Sesame Place. We have stayed here several times before as well as a number of the other hotels near Sesame Place. This has been my top choice of these hotels - mainly for the shuttle to the park. If you go to Sesame Place two days, the shuttle saves you $30 on parking!
The Holiday Inn Express, Sheraton, and Residence Inn (very $$$) also have shuttles.

The check-in process, the room(s) were fine - just what you would expect at a major chain. We asked for extra pillows and they were brought right up. It has a decent lobby with some computers that you can use if you need to look something up or access your email, etc. The indoor pool is fine, a little small. I'd like to see it open later than 10pm, however. No need to close it that early.

The big problem was with breakfast. We've had the breakfast there (it'sa buffet) a few times in the past and it was very good. This time it was a disaster. It was very crowded and there was not enough attendants/waitesses. In the past, there were always three or four. This time...just one! The poor woman was overwhelmed. She was working very hard, but it was just too much for her. They were running out of items and had no one available to replace them. The food itself is good (especially the do-it-yourself waffles!), but it was the complete chaos that was what will be remembered about this visit. To her credit the lone waitress only charged us for half of our party due to the experience.

just came back from a 2 night stay at the Marriott. I have stayed at this hotel several times in the past when I went to Sesame place. The shuttle to and from the park is great. they run every 15 to 30 min. My room this time was not up to par. We were in a King room 2 adults and 2 kids. it was a little cramped. The shower had soap scum in it and the toilet was dirty. The pool is great but has to much chlorine in it that it burns your eyes. The kids didnt seem to mind it. The breakfast room was a little crazy. They had 1 person to wait, sit and clean. If they would add another person during the summer season it would be ok. You have several restaurants in the area. If you dont want to eat in the park, Uno's is right down the block from the park.Over all its a good place to stay if your going to Sesame Place

We stayed for five nights and did not have any problems. The rooms are clean, the staff was helpful and the breakfast buffet is a nice way to start the day. The shuttle service to Sesame Place is outstanding! Both mornings we walked out of the hotel to find the shuttle ready and waiting as well as when we left the park. This is definitely a family hotel so expect to see kids everywhere...

Understaffed and staff that was onsite were incredibly rude and unhelpful. AC not working. Pool opened despite order by health dept to shut down. (We are hoping we dont get sick.) Charges for breakfast incorrect and staff was unable to credit our card without a manager and no manager was available. (We had to leave without resolving.)
Sheraton is a much better hotel and I wish that we had stayed there instead of trying this Marriott. We had 16 people in our group and none of us will be returning!

The hotel itself was pretty clean and new. The room was good, hard to get towels. I do not understand why I only get two towels when they know I have checked in to this hotel as two adults and four children. We do not share towels at home and we are not about to start sharing now!!!

Our biggest problem is the area, we returned back to the hotel around 8:30 pm. We recieved a phone call from the front desk at 9:30 pm as a COURTESY CALL to let us know our car had been broken into. The man at the front desk was nice enough to call the police and meet us at our vehicle (which is less than a month old). The employee of The Courtyard informed my husband (along with the police officer confirming) how bad the break-ins are and how much gang activity there is in this area. We had our very expensive (brand new navigation system) stolen and my cell phone. The policeman called this a smash and run. It also seems this happens all of the time according to the employee of the Courtyard. (It would be nice if they would warn people. I guess that would be bad for business!!)

I am on vacation with my 7yr, 3 yr, 2yr and 2 1/2 month old and we're supposed to leave here tomorrow now we are stranded and praying the car dealer near by can fix our smashed out window. So we can drive the five hours back home!!

booked a room from June 11 thru June 13, 200 and previously 2 yrs ago; did not have a service issue at all last time... HOWEVER - this time - we arrived at noon; the front desk would not even check to see if there were any rooms available for early check in so we had to lug our stuff back out because that front desk person did not want to be liable for the baggage left there.

Next day the same woman was working the breakfast buffet proceeded to charge us for our daughter's brkfst when we had booked the rooms w/ the free brkfst included for 2 adults and children under 12.

Tried asking for extra towels and tissue box; rec'd 1 extra towel and they did not have any extra tissue boxes until delivery came in (who knows when that would be)...

I will be reviewing the other hotels in the vicinity as I was less than impressed with the service and at $200 a night - I really expected better for the money.

Positive note - their breakfast buffet is still quite good and great for kids (they had everything a kid could eat - fresh fruits - cereals - milks - yogurts // hot brkfst included waffles / eggs/ potatoes/ bacon/sausage)

My family and I stayed here in May 2008 on a trip to Sesame Place. We chose it based on reviews, location and pricing. Overall I was very happy with the hotel. The hotel staff were all incredibily friendly and helpful. They were also very kid-friendly, which is important becacuse the hotel was full of families visiting Sesame.

The room was nice, comfortable and clean. The pool was great! Not too big but the perfect tempature and very clean. They have free coffee service throughout the day as well as free cookies and lemon water at the reception desk.

The only issue we had was we unfortunately had a strange buzzing noise in our room for a few hours in the evening that was very annoying. We could't figure out what it was. We called the front desk and they were very responsive - sent someone up to check it out right away and immediately offered to move us. I was very impressed by the service.

The free shuttle service to and from Sesame Place was wonderful - quick, easy to use, and the driver was friendly. Definitely better than dealing with and paying for parking at the park.

We will stay here again.
