Our soccer team stayed at this site for a second time - May 19, 2007. We were in a different wing of the hotel and had nice clean rooms. Yes, it is not fancy but for $77/night what do you want. I seriously question why people are more than willing to pay the inexpensive rates and then feel that they should get a room that looks like something the Ritz Carolton offers??? As long as my room is clean, I can handle anything. There is a beautiful courtyard with tables and chairs. The outdoor pool was recently done. The indoor pool is in a separate building but changing areas/bathroom/shower is available in this building.
Again, nothing here is fancy but it is definitely clean and affordable.

We have used the Continental Inn annually every year since 1996 for a workshop in November. We find the staff pleasant and helpful. We would not dream of using another hotel in the Lancaster area.

We have been staying at the hotel for the last two years and each year it has gotten worse. This last year was terrible. We have two children (7 and 8) and found it easy to stay at the hotel and walk over to dutch wonderland to visit for Christmas in Dutch Wonderland. We have always stayed Thanksgiving weekend. The room had a broken lamp shade, broken glass on the bathroom floor. We left a tip for the maid the first day and asked for an extra blanket and towels, which we received. The blanket had holes in it, it was disgusting. The next day we did not leave a tip as we had no small bills and were not leaving until the following night. When we came back to the room, the maid had not replaced the glasses, cleaned the coffee pot or replaced the coffee packets and generally did not straighten up the room. We still found broken glass on the floor. We will not be coming back.

Disgusting. Plain and simple. I was there on Sept. 2, 2006 and planned to stay the entire Labor Day weekend. The rooms are old and dated, smelly, and very dirty. I arrived there and couldn't stay in the room for more than 45 minutes. There was this musty odor which didn't "go away" after you had been in the room a while. The blankets are stained, and discolored. You could see that the rooms are seldom vacuumed or dusted. I checked out immediately and headed down the road to the a much newer Comfort Inn, where the rates were comparable. The only plus side is when I went to the front desk to check out, they were very accomodating and checked me out immediately - almost as if they had this issue before with guests. This hotel is in major need of some renovating, updating and cleaning.
