Both my wife's and my meal were good. Drinks were weak. Desert menu is lacking. I guess they figure on you getting something at their bakery when you leave.

We decided to celebrate Valentine's day with something special. Bistro Barberet is the right place . We had the special menu . Amazing !!! Cassoulet - pate en croûte - as a dessert a floating island . Price, quality of meal, service everything was great. Even for a simple and casual lunch or dinner Barberet is the right place to go. Don't hesitate let's go and have fun.

While in the city for a dance comp we stumbled across this beautiful bakery.
A treat for your eyes and palate!
We enjoyed some really delicious sandwiches! Baguettes filled with expected and unexpected- the ham and cheese for example boasted Brie . Fresh croissants, delightful coffee- but the sweets are a vision! a case full of perfect classic macrons from lemon to lavender - raspberry to coffee and they are as delicious as they are attractive. Wish we were here longer to sample some of the other amazing treats!

A friend and i came here for lunch after shopping Lancaster's Central Market. We thought things couldn't get much better, but we were wrong! One enters this restaurant through a bakery where all sorts of divine temptations should have given us a clue of what was to come. We both had the lunch special, which started with the soup du jour, which was a fabulous bean soup. You think bean soup can't be fabulous? Try theirs! Then a croque monsieur with shoestring fries that were so thin and crispy and delicious! We should have chosen one salad and one fries and split both - the portions were generous. And the croque monsieur was the best i have had outside Paris and maybe even including Paris! For dessert, we got to choose one of the delectable treats from out front, but we were so stuffed that we had them wrapped to go. Next time, i will get one of their salads and eat dessert right away! We will be back and can hardly wait to try their dinners!
