We normally do not eat out on Thanksiving or Christmas but since our mother passed away this year, we decided to do something different and selected Arthur's based on the reviews. We really enjoyed this buffet so much on Thanksgiving that we booked it for Christmas right after our meal! On both occasions, the meals were excellent. The turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, etc. really seemed homemade. The baked salmon was delish! The selection was fantastic, with carved prime rib, leg of lamb (with mint jelly), ham, spare ribs, grilled portabello mushrooms, etc. Everything was hot and freshly made. There was a pasta station where you could custom order your pasta to fit your taste. I didn't eat much salad since i eat that a lot throughout the week, but the shrimp salad and waldorf salad were quite tasty. Although they were fully booked, it didn't seem like we had to wait to get our food. Traffic moved along nicely, Some beautiful fountains and softly played piano music (Not Christmas songs, yay!) added to the upscale ambience of this restaurant. Patrons were nicely dressed and no one behaved badly---even the children were well-behaved. Our service was excellent and friendly. To top all of this off, was a fantastic array of desserts like white and dark chocolate dipped strawberries, ice cream, cheese cake, many varieties of cake, cookies, pies, chocolated dipped pretzels and the delicious chocolate mousse. Each guest gets 3 glasses of champagne with the meal and even that was good. Usually the free champagne is a sweet, cheap tasting variety (ugh) but this was a brut and was a great compliment to the variety of foods offered. Eating at Arthur's will now be our new tradition for both Thanksgiving and Christmas, A special thanks to our Thanksgiving server, Dee and our Christmas server, Anthony. Your friendly spirit really helped make this meal a true holiday delight!
