This place was amazing with a photo op at every turn. Room just as shown on the website, large bath with double sinks,Didn't use the fireplace due to warmer weather. Living room and upstairs study tasteful and unique. Owners live in the house next to the B and B and seemed to know when to be around and when not to. The property very interesting and walkable. Even a "gentleman's building" and we were given the key to view. Slight noise in the walls and from the road, though it is quite far away but that is about all on the "negative'. You may want to check to see if there is a wedding going on as they seem to be very popular but we stayed midweek and had only one other room booked with an interesting Mother and world traveled son.. Would definitely recommend.

Room Tip: Downstairs room the largest but close to kitchen in the morning. Upstairs rooms smaller but more pri...

Pheasant Run is a beautiful and calm property. The rooms are lovely, and well appointed. A friend and I went on a girlfriends weekend to Lancaster. It was really lovely. We stayed in Olivia's room with two twin beds. It was wonderfully warm with our own thermostat in the room. The common areas of the house were great for sitting with a cup of tea, reading a book, or working on a knitting project. The location is a short 15 minute drive into Lancaster and also an easy drive to the Amish attractions. It was quiet and the air was so fresh. The owners Vivian and Bob were kind and welcoming. They had an event one day so we were also cared for by their daughter Deane and another woman Jodi. Everyone was very helpful and friendly without being overbearing. The only thing I would improve is the breakfast. As someone who is very health conscious I would have appreciate some lighter fare - maybe cereals, oatmeal, side salad, etc. Lancaster County has amazing locally produced foods - it would be great to see that highlighted on the breakfast menu while keeping it healthy! Though I did also love the chocolates on my pillow - salted caramels. So delicious!

Room Tip: We stayed in Olivia's room. It got nice morning sun. We had it set up with two twins, but they c...

we had a really wonderful time here. there was a wedding going on at the time of our arrival but although everyone seemed to be very busy with the event we had a warm welcome and were shown around by Deane. we really enjoyed our room with the fireplace, it's so cozy and relaxing. the whole house was homelike and made us feel comfy. breakfast was really delicious and stuffing and we enjoyed talking to the other guests and Deane and Vivian. if we'll finally run our own b&b, this would be the way to do it. we'll definitely be back soon.

What an amazing place! Beautiful, comfortable and the management is wonderful! I cannot begin to say enough good things about this bed and breakfast! If you are going to stay in the Lancaster area for any reason, you must stay here! The innkeepers were so kind and softspoken and full of information and suggestions for shopping and dinner! Even provided a written map! And the breakfast? Wow. Fresh fruit, warm muffins, ham and pototatoes....as well as coffee, juice and tea. Absolutely made us feel at home and relaxed! If you have the opportunity to stay here and don't, you have only yourself to blame!!!

Room Tip: Any room is a great room!

Whether you are looking for a place to get married, renew your vows, have a romantic weekend. or a well needed get away - this beautiful bed and breakfast will give you plenty of photo ops to show the folks at home.
With a beautiful, simple house, rolling lawn, spring with bridge and waterfalls - oh yes! and lily pads with frogs (princes?) - everywhere you turn is click worthy.

Head's up - I did not stay here (though kicking myself for that the whole drive home). I was here for a wedding where I helped from set up to tear down and enjoyed every moment of it. The owner was there to offer help if we needed it but she wasn't overbearing or controlling which was great for this more laid back DIY crowd. The grounds are covered with great choices to hold a ceremony, and take some amazing photos. The reception area inside was historically beautiful by itself so a few flowers on each table was more than enough decoration to make the space gorgeous. This wedding had around 70 guests and the tables fit together snugly enough that it made the whole room feel intimate without feeling crowded. The gorgeous wood floor room for dancing just off the main historic room was beautiful and a perfect separation so that guests dancing didn't feel like they were being stared at by those still seated, and those seated didn't have to yell over music, yet it still felt cohesive. Any brides looking for a great venue that is inherently historically beautiful should not pass up the opportunity to host their event here. As someone who helped from set up through tear down and enjoyed being a guest for the actual event - this place was just great all around.

My husband and I just had our wedding here on August 17th. We had a beautiful day. From the bells ringing as we crossed the bridge after we said "I do" to the comfy bed in the B&B. Our day couldn't have been better, and I wouldn't have picked any other place to have our wedding. All of our guests raved over the grounds. It was an amazing experience that we will never forget. The B&B's beds are the most comfortable beds. Henry and Anna's room is great for the bridal party to get ready, and then great for the newlyweds on their wedding night. The King size bed is to die for. The bathroom, is huge, and there is also a door that leads right to the balcony to overlook the farm. Needless to say, we will be back for our Anniversaries!
