Restaurant does not take reservations for parties less than eight, so go early because El Serrano draws a large crowd, especially on the weekends. Live singer with electronic accompaniment vies with piped-in tunes, which drowns out the high level of noise. Restaurant can lose the flattened, soiled chair cushions and keep its ambiance. Nice sangria, very reasonable bar drinks, and the menu holds a wide selection of Latin American dishes. Just enough on each plate, too! Waitstaff is courteous and attentive, service is prompt and prices are very reasonable.
