Venture inside this downtown turn of the century rowhouse and it will appear that you are in a cozy, well appointed club with excellent service and good food. THis location is easily walkable from Fulton Square and worth the stroll. A fine place for a little dress up, glass of wine and a good meal.

Like everything - nothing to dislike. The food is exceptional and we were lucky enough to have David as our waiter. He's very professionaly and especially well informed.

Loved the atmosphere. Dim with the candles burning in the fireplace. Our waiter was excellent and told us his long history with the place. The food was great. I had a chilled watermelon and heirloom tomato soup with sweet corn. Very different. My meal was salmon with a creamed cauliflower and succatash and kale. We did not have dessert. They had advertised cabaret for the night but the piano player called in. So that was disappointing to many other, too. We went into the bar because it looked nice. We met 5 people and continued to talk away the night. A storm was going on so we weren't going any where soon. Since the piano man was not there, one of the 3 men who are locals and regulars performed in the upstairs room. It was so much fun. The 7 of us around the piano singing. It was so impromptu and we had a blast. The owner had even offered us umbrellas to use when we left! Great food, great atmosphere and time!

The Belvedere Inn has so many things to offer. The food is great, combining fine dining with comfort food to satisfy a variety of tastes. The bar downstairs is active with a mixed crowd of young and older, straight and gay. The main dining room on the first food is beautifully decorated and the low lighting makes the evening seem special. Upstairs the bar and restaurant called Crazy Shirley's hops with great jazz singers and combos. Sit at a hightop table and enjoy the show while eating great food. Stay late and watch the crowd get younger and hipper and the music get wilder. Belvedere is housed in an old Victorian structure that could have been a mansion, a hotel or a brothel and the decor makes you think of all of them at once. Go around the holidays when holiday decorations are added in abundance.

My wife and I recently took our 15yo grandson to Gettysburg and the Amish area. There weren't too many non-touristy fine restaurants that we could find. The Belvedere was one and when we looked at their menu online, we were hooked. There was something for each of us that caught our eye. When we arrived, the greeting was warm and sincere and when we told then we were celebrating an anniversary, 2 glasses of champagne arrived at our table with the host's complements. Our waitress was just as sincere in explaining the menu and taking our orders.
The food arrived in appropriate time and was every bit as delicious as we expected it to be.
Overall, it was an extremely pleasant dining experience.
