This fairly new byob gem in downtown Lancaster is not to be missed....We went after a gr8 nite at First Fri Lancaster. Cozy well decorated restaurant serving amazing food...and prideful service couldnt be better! We started w app of Veg Samosa Chat..Presentation was nearly as fantastic of the exploding flavors of the soft samosa infused w cilantro mint reduction, chick peas w tangy tamarind and neutralizing yogurt sauces. Entrees split were the Chicken Tikka Masala and traditional Nepalese Goat Curry. Best masala sauce ever....exemplified by us sopping every morsel of sause w our garlic naan bread. The grilled chicken was incredible w the infused garlic. Goat Curry was totally different....a bit too fatty for me, but the flavor max of the gravy was magical. As Foodies we sat trying to assess the many spices used, and the staff was quite conversive in sharing their secrets. Dollar value is exceptional aslo. Next visit there will be for the Mon thru Sat buffet...price of which can not be matched anywhere for like quality cuisine!

This is really undistinguishable fro "Indian" food and the lunch buffet is a very reasonably priced with a varied selection at the buffet. The room smells wonderul. The decor is not elegant, but it is perfectly attractive, as is the very pleasant wait staff. Dinner is much more fun, with a large variety of nicely flavored dishes. I understand the goat is super, although I haven't tried it. The chicken tikka masala is my favorite anywhere, and the black lentil dal was also good. If you are used to overspiced Indian food, you might be disappointed, because the flavors here are much more subtle. Still - for a late lunch or affordable dinner, it is worth a visit. One note - they are often overecrowded, so if you make a reservation, please be aware you may not be seated promptly.

The lunch buffet was a decent selection of very bland dishes at a very reasonable weekday price of $7.95. The dining area is cramped, the decor undistinguished. Our "5 minute" wait for a table turned out to be 15 minutes. The service was acceptable.

In sum, if you're in Lancaster and have to have a curry then Himalayan Curry and Grill will do, Otherwise, you might want to wait until you're in the big city.

We tried this restaurant for the first time this week and had their lunch buffet. We arrived around 1:00pm and were seated immediately. The buffet had salad, about 8 hot dishes, naan, and a semolina pudding for dessert. We loved everything we tried and will definitely try the Monday night buffet, weekend dinner service, and take out! These appeared to be one woman running the dining room and another waiter helping her. Our plates were cleared and our drinks refilled pretty quickly. A lot of people complain about how small the restaurant is, but that is part of what I love about it. It only seats about 25, so it is really hard to them to forget about you.

When we walked in we got attitude at first. The manager was very rude. We didn't have anyone to attend our table. Didn't feel welcome at all. No one asked us for our order, we had to wait for 20 minutes before anyone even asked for drinks ( that too after we called them).
The good tasted horrible. Our mood was so off that we didnt enjoy the food either.
Will never come back to the restaurant again and won't recommend it to anyone!!
