We dine with two other couples on a monthly basis and cruise/vacation together at least once per year. We saw that the Dutch Apple Dinner Theater was presenting It's A Wonderful Life and booked a reservation. The location is just off of the Rt 30 Centerville Road exit. Really easy to find. The hostess took us to our reserved table. We had just about settled in when our waitress arrived to take our drink order and invited us to start at the buffet. The traffic at the buffet was steady but not overbearing. Plenty of delicious food to select from. The dessert tables were set near the stage and had a myriad of cakes, pies and ice cream... yes, they had shoo fly pie too. The show was fantastic. The actors, musicians and tech crew did a great job....and that compliment is coming from a guy who has been involved in community theater as a lighting/sound tech, set builder, minor acting and musician.

We were unsure of the Dutch Apple Theater as we only viewed the menu online and we took friends of ours, who live in Lancaster, PA to this terrific local dinner theater. They had never been there before. Both my wife and our friends have mobility issues and it was great that there were no stairs involved. Great seats from no matter where you sit. The show, Crazy for You, was well staged and a total of 2 1/2 hours in performance. The dinner before the show was great. It's a hot buffet, with salad bar and dessert. Our waiter was terrific and very attentive to our needs. We would definitely go back.

The staff at this facility was extremely nice and helpful. The food at the Thanksgiving buffet was good, there was a nice selection, and the trays were refilled promptly. However, our party felt cramped and claustrophic at the table. Although set for 8 people, the table would comfortably seat just 6. Too crowded to be able to get up to visit the buffet more than once.

Beautifully decorated for Christmas, they make you feel so welcome as soon as you walk in the door! The buffet was excellent and was not your typical food selection. I loved the show, It's a Wonderful Life" and it really put me in the Holiday spirity. Our waitress was Kelly, she was quick to get us anything we asked her for, dark brown hair, single Mom raising two small children she was so pleasant and really made us feel welcome! I would recommend going to Dutch Apple for any show, but really enjoyed the Christmas show.

Went to the Dutch Apple with my wife and 2 of our friends to see "It's a Wonderful Life". The four of us are subscription members, so we have seen and enjoyed several plays at this venue. The Dutch Apple serves a nice buffet with a good salad bar and various hot offerings. There is also a wonderful dessert bar with various cakes, pies and ice cream to enjoy, if you have room. The chefs also label the food for people who are gluten free. They also have gluten free and sugar free desserts. Nice feature since my wife is on a gluten free diet.
We really enjoyed the play. The actors did a wonderful job and their efforts really helped get you into the Christmas spirit. We are renewing our subscription for 2015. Looking forward to more great productions.
If you're in the Lancaster area, a visit to the Dutch Apple is a wonderful way to spent the afternoon or evening. Although we never stayed there, there is a hotel next to the theater if you don't care to drive home after an evening show. They offer package deals. Check out the Dutch Apple web site for more information.
