The hotel is beautiful! The hotel was newly renovated and beautifully decorated with primitive decor. The hotel was very clean, and the staff was very pleasant. The restaurant wasn't the greatest, but there are many other choices in the area to choose from. The kids loved the pool and it was very clean as well. The pillows were great...they felt like feather pillows.Would recommend this hotel if you are in the Lancaster Area.

Grossness. Our "luxury" balcony 2 queen room was a patio, a nice car SUV was parked in front of our door ruining the view of the parking lot. The beds were stained in a **bad** way and are very old. There was a silverfish on my pillow. The bathroom was moldish and had mysterious mouse-like holes in the wall/near the floor boards. The room was dank, everything was warped or chipped. The mini fridge didn't work but did offer up some nice stench when opened. The bedding had a heavy dirty greasy feel as did the multitude of gross toss pillows. My sleeping pillow smelled of someone's night-time face cream. The hallways were creepy dark. I will never stay there again. Our room cost $137. The pool area was nice-ish (although the access area to get to the pool was closed due to the "refurbishing" (and we were in a refurbished room!!!!) so a very circuitous route had to be taken. For breakfast my children did enjoy the Fruit Loops (sealed little packages) but the coffee was absolutely horrible. At 7 a.m. it was tepid and acid urine tasting of some sort (not that I am a urine pro taster). Don't stay here. Tons of other area hotels to choose from.

Room Tip: dont stay here.

I was there with a bus group from VA. I really enjoyed our stay (2nights). One of the most comfortable beds I have ever had at any hotel. The pillows were wonderful and plenty of them. Made me want to go home and replace all my pillows Very nice and clean and everyone was so friendly and nice. It was very nice to always have the coffee, tea and juice available in the lobby. The breakfast had a good selection. I would definitely recomend The Country Inn of Lancaster to anyone and would stay there when I return to Lancaster.

This is one of last minutes decision trip to Lancaster, PA as a family. We searched various websites and found this hotel as the last hope. We were able to reserve a room with two queen size beds for very reasonable price. We were very excited to visit Lancaster since this deal came thrugh. Once we got to the hotel after 7hours of drive, we received room key as normal. With such excitement we went in to our room and..... We found very cute comforters on both beds and seems to be very clean over all. Then my eyes went the floor as I was setting down our bags,,,, and I could not believe what I was seen.... There are no base boards what so ever!! Is this normal? My husband went to front desk Clark to ask the situation then she said "sorry, they are working on that." with no sincerely or concern. I protest to my husband but he was too tired to work on the issue... So we decided to leave the issue behind. I am hoping nothing else will start to coming out from the holes..... I feel sorry for this hotel because they had to show where their profit are going. I hope that's where its going.

The noisiest hotel i have ever stayed in. I was in room 124 and the traffic noise was so bad that I may have as well stayed on the hard shoulder of the freeway. At 7.45 am building contactors started work on the roof above us. Staff told me that they were not supposed to start until 9.0 but did nothing abut it and the builders started at 8.00 ish on the following 2 days. At 8.0am there was a noise that souded like an airplane starting up which just carried on and on. I was told by staff that there was a basement under us and it was the drier. Again this was the same for each of the 3 days we stayed. The hotel was near empty and they could have put us in a room further away from the noise but they chose not to. I'd not even consider this hotel again when there are so many in this area.Staff were totally uninterested.

Room Tip: Go elsewhere

Below is the email I sent to this Inn.

Good Morning,

I feel the need to let you know of the terrible service my wife and I received from your establishment. I don’t know if this is an isolated incident or a standard practice however I will never stay or recommend to anyone I know to stay at your Inn.

I made a reservation for a King room with balcony over a month prior to our arrival at your Inn because we were attending an Aviation Seminar being held there. After working all day and then driving 3 ½ hours to get to your location we were greeted by a young woman with an attitude. She had my reservation and checked us in and made our room keys. When asked for simple directions to get to our room she started rambling about how much she disliked the map that was available and said to just go out back and use a room key to get into the building and look around. When asked about our Aviation Class she had no idea where it was to be held and to try above the restaurant. This being our first time to your Inn, not knowing its layout, and being dark outside we had no clue how many buildings there were or even where they were. Once we found our assigned room, we entered only to find two small beds and not the king I had reserved. We returned to the front desk to be greeted by a second young lady who was apologetic and reassigned us to a different room and issued us new room keys. Once again we made our way to the back building and located our room only to find it already occupied by a man half-dressed who was equally surprised when we entered his room. Once again we made our way back down to the front desk to again be greeted by our first young lady with the attitude who stood there with a look of distain on her face when we enlightened her to the fact that the room already had someone in it. She then proceeded to lecture me on the fact that I signed the check-in paper for the first room with two small beds. I again told her that is not the room I had reserved a month prior. She said that is too bad and that is the only room that was available because they had a bus arrive and the people on it took all the rooms. At this point my wife and I are extremely agitated over the entire situation and decide to not stay at your Inn and find accommodations at another establishment.

The next day when we arrive at your Inn for our Aviation Seminar we locate the room above the restaurant and settle in for a very intense and expensive two day class. The room did not have any heat and we had to sit in our coats all day to stay warm. The lights did not work so we either had to sit in the dark to see the PowerPoint presentation and not be able to read our materials or have the main lights on and not be able to see our PowerPoint presentation. We finally made it to lunch were the entire class decided to eat downstairs in your restaurant. During our lunch experience we were again surprised at the attitude of your employees. One of the waitresses told the table beside us that she only had “two hands” when they informed her she missed an item on the table.

For the two days we were there I can honestly say I was not impressed by the service and especially the attitude. My wife and I travel a lot and this was by far the worst experience we have had with a hotel, motel, or Inn. I am copying in Mr. Hal Heffner of Aviation Seminars recommending finding a different location as the quality of the class was affected by the lack of professionalism of your staff and conditions of your meeting rooms.

If you or Mr. Hal Heffner wish to discuss anything further you can contact me via email or my phone at xxx-xxx-xxxx..

Thank you for your time.

Room Tip: Stay somewhere else.

We took our first family vacation, and found the Country Inn of :ancestor via web search, as we looked for a place to stay close to Dutch Wonderland. With all of the talk about bedbugs in nice hotels, a self-declared "cleanest hotel in Lancaster" was enticing. The price was within our budget, and it had feature we would have been willing to forgot, but were pleased to have found (e.g. an indoor-outdoor pool, adjacent restaurant, complimentary hot breakfast, etc.). The hotel was extremely clean, to start. The service was consistently friendly and helpful the entire stay. The breakfast was beyond any "continental breakfast included" I've ever experienced. It was a full breakfast, in every sense, with hot & cold cereals, eggs, pastries & donuts, juice, coffee, tea and more. I honestly don't think you could find a nicer hotel with these amenities at anywhere close to the price we paid.
