We recently spent three nights at Lovelace Manor in the Rose Suite, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. All four rooms are large and attractive, but the Rose Suite is at the back of the house, and it is probably the quietest room and has the largest bathroom. The bed was comfortable, and the linens were top quality. Lark and Michael provided excellent breakfasts (two courses) each morning, and Lark's suggested driving tour of the Amish countryside was exactly what we wanted. We enjoyed the grounds and the aviary, and I was sorry that we did not have time to sip a glass of wine on the beautiful wrap around porch. I would highly recommend Lovelace Manor for any one who plans to be in the Lancaster area. Wheatland (the home of James Buchanan) is right down the street from Lovelace Manor, and we enjoyed our tour of the home. If you need suggestions for activities or restaurants, be sure to check with Lark and Michael, as they were very helpful. I would love to return for another visit.
