“Not to be missed”
Reviewed September 17, 2012

While this is admittedly a small museum, the films and the lifesize model of the tabernacle make it well worth the admission fee. The tabernacle tour takes about 40 minutes with a well versed guide explaining in detail how it came to be, how it was assembled, transported and used. I've read the passages multiple times but until you see it erected and stand in its midst you really can't comprehend the size and scope. The museum bookshop has many wonderful offerings, the museum is well planned and labled.

“Understanding the Amish”
Reviewed August 22, 2012

The two films introducing the Amish and Menonite customs was well worth the fee.
Especially if your are not familiar with their lifestyle. I definitely gained a new respect
for their culture. It also helped me to respect their hardwork and understand their
beliefs. They are hardworking people who value their farms and families. Their homes
and farms are pristine and everybody works hard--even the children . The films and your experience in and around Lancaster will certainly educate you.

Visited when in Lancaster many years ago. This provides good info on the settlement of Anabaptists in the local area.

“Insight into the Jewish roots of Christianity”
Reviewed July 21, 2012

In addition to the normal historical info, they have a walk-in madel of the ancient temples and a facinating tour guide that explains all the trappings.
