We have three small children and chose this hotel for it's awesome pool, play area, and very kid-friendly atmosphere. However it was just as wonderful for us as adults and was elegant and quiet despite all the kids that were there. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Loved our staycation and hope to go again sometime.

Decided last minute to escape this rough winter and get away to someplace new for us. Researched Lancaster Hotels with indoor pools and this one came up big and rightfully so.

All employees at every level were professional, warm and friendly. The front desk took the time to explain that several events were being held in their grand ballroom and their would be music heard until 10. I appreciated the upfront notice. However with the pool open until 11 that was a non issue anyway.

The hotel also offer arts and crafts and a movie over the weekend. An extra special hats off to the young lady working with the children in arts and crafts, She was fabulous and such an asset to the hotel.

The pool area was very clean with several lifeguards on duty and while crowded I found the hotel guests there were all very friendly and made for a festive happy atmosphere as we were all warm and wet on a cold winter day.

We ate all our meals at the hotel and I found the prices fair and quality very good.

Looking forward to visiting again!

Departure date on email is incorrect. We left on 2/25/14. Room was very nice. Only problem---it looked over the atrium and their was a function going on Monday which seemed to be excessively loud. The noise level went on after 11:00 p.m. At check-in on Sunday the person behind guest could have been more friendly and welcoming.

We stayed 12/26/13 through 12/29/13. We had adjoining rooms for our family, which worked out wonderfully. The cleaning staff that we had on the morning 12/27 was amazing! The women the next morning of 12/28 were not so great. They did not speak fluent English and they actually removed my mother in law's Dove body wash from her bathroom and left it on their cart in the hallway. Also, they never replaced any of the toiletries that usually are replaced with each daily cleaning of the room. They only gave us half of the towels that we received upon our arrival. The other issue was that the pools had been cleaned a few days prior to our arrival and the chlorine was massively excessive. Everyone in the pool area kept tearing up. Upon arrival at the hotel, you could actually smell the chlorine, which was not even on the same floor. The front desk staff was such a pleasure to deal with! In fact, everyone that we met, staff wise except for the housekeepers on 12/28 were absolutely wonderful!!! The entire staff in the restaurant were also amazing!!! The hotel was beautifully decorated for the holidays and we adored the gingerbread houses!!!!!

Room smell of either dog and carpet shampoo. Definitely not up to the same level as other Hilton/Double trees that we have stay in before. Bed was not comfortable as Hilton usually have unique beds. Room was very dark and drabbie. Large kids party with blow ups/activities going on in lobby, noisy. Would have like to know this when we booked. Layout of hotel was strange , must have been an older hotel converted into a Doubletree. Maid service was good. Did not eat any meals at restaurant, it was kind of expensive.

Thank you for staying with us over the holidays. I'm sorry your stay was not up to par and I'd like to opportunity to speak with you personally. We recently received our 5th outstanding inspection from Hilton quality assurance so I'm confident you'll have a better experience when you stay with us again. And yes, our hotel was converted from an independent property in 2010. Many DoubleTree's are converted which makes them all unique! I look forward to speaking with you: Kristin O'Connor, Guest Relations; (717) 464-7503, koconnor@willowval.com
