We were staying here this week because we had no power and water due to the storm. We hoped to return home but since my husband has been unable to get to work this week and still no power we decided to extend our stay in Lancaster. We called the front desk and asked if they had rooms available and were told yes and given a discounted price of $129. We wanted to stay in the same room we were staying in so the front desk person told us she would give us a call I'd they had a cancelation on the suite. When we didn't hear from her we went to the front desk when we returned to the hotel and attempted to make arrangements to extend our stay. We were then told by Jennifer that a single room was available for $199. She informed us she didn't have to give us a lower price because "she could sell the room for $199".
We are now going to stay at The Lancaster Arts Hotel where they upon taking our reservation said they are happy to give New Jersey storm victims a discount. What a difference in customer service!
Thank you for the review of your recent experience at our hotel. We’re glad we were able to provide you a safe and dry environment in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy and we’re very sorry that you had a poor experience at our front desk. We do our best to make sure all of our guests feel valued and appreciated and I'm sorry this was not your experience. Our staff was able to accommodate many guests displaced during the recent storm and worked hard to meet everyone's needs. I would be happy to speak with you further regarding your experience. We were very impressed with the overall appearance and cleanliness of this hotel. The welcome cookies were such a nice touch and the kids were thrilled with the indoor pool/playground for kids. The surrounding landscape and scenery was so pretty this fall also. Such a wonderful stay overall!
We appreciate you taking the time to review our property on TripAdvisor and look forward to serving you again soon. Every season is beautiful in Lancaster! Kristin O'Connor, Guest Relations; firstname.lastname@example.org, (717) 464-7503
This hotel is beautiful and offers many great amenities, including an amazing pool, indoor water park for kids, fitness center, golf...lots to do. We had a bonfire the first night that was fabulous. The food in the restaurants was stellar...especially the soups, AND the huge breakfast buffet with made-to-order omelettes!! The service was a bit slow, but if you are there on a family vacation, that would not be a big problem. It was clear that my room was not brand-new...it had the marks of a lot of past use...but it was clean, neat, spacious, and had a new TV. I would stay there again in a minute. My only complaint was with the LOUD musical groups that were there all three days that I stayed. I could not hear them from my room, but in getting to the restaurants, lobby, etc., I always had to walk through them in the meeting area. Aside from that, everything was wonderful.
Thank you for staying with us in October. We work hard to keep our rooms as fresh as possible, but they definitely get used often! In the off season, our maintenance team will work them each room as they are available to clean up scuff marks, complete repairs and perform preventative maintenance on the amenities to make sure they stay in top shape. We look forward to serving you again soon! Kristin O'Connor, Guest Relations; email@example.com, (717) 464-7503
I've stayed at this facility a number of times - always for a seminar - and each experience has been positive. The entire staff goes out of their way to ensure that all goes well. If something's not what you want, all you have to do is ASK, and chances are something can be done. Special kudos to the Group Sales and Catering folks who take special care of us!
Thank you! Our entire team wants to make sure your stay is as perfect as possible! I'm happy to read we are doing a great job. Thank you for sharing and I hope you are able to visit with us again soon, Kristin O'Connor, Guest Relations; firstname.lastname@example.org, (717) 464-7503
I was here for a conference from Tues until Fri. Everything was great. I was on the 5th floor in room 5024 from Oct 16-19 and literally I would have liked to just live there. My room had a living room, small area with refrigerator, coffee pot, ice bucket, and large closet, bathroom, and a bedroom. It was nice having a thermostat on the wall to choose the temperature as the weather was funky (hot in the day, cold at night, rainy/stormy, etc). The conference was in many of the meeting rooms and all were nice, although, a bit cold. The food in 2400 Cafe and all of the conference food was wondeful. I think between the cookies, breakfast buffets, and dinners, plus snacks, I gained 10 pounds that week. The pool is nice and warm, and the hot tub is huge and very hot. The business center only has two computers but I had my own and the wifi worked pretty well. Everything was in good working condition, was clean and housekeeping took care of the room daily. I loved my stay!
Thank you for sharing, Jenster! Both our family travellers and our group visitors are important to our facility and it's great to read such positive feedback from both. We have plenty of cookies here and hope you'll be able to stay with us again soon! Kristin O'Connor, Guest Relations; email@example.com, (717) 464-7503
