Great place and not the noisy place others discribed. The pools were great and my children 9 & 12 enjoyed the vacation as much as I did. I would definitely come back and recommend.

We had a great trip to the Lancaster Doubletree Resort. We decided to do a little mini getaway and stay close to home. This was the perfect place. This is a great place to just escape for the weekend. The hotel was beautifully decorated and Cafe 2400 had great food. A great place to run away to, something for everyone in the family. We had a relaxing weekend and kids had a great time.

We stayed here on a recent trip to Dutch Wonderland and the Strassburg Railroad. We were traveling with 2 young chidren. The room was pretty good. Rates were affordable, so we upgraded to a small suite (King bed in the bedroom and queen bed in the living room). Room had a fridge. One complaint about the room was that it only had a shower (no bath), the woman checking us in saw that we were with small children and probably should have mentioned that. Best thing about the hotel (for kids) is the pool. They have a huge kids pool -- mostly shallow -- with sprinklers and water slides. The kids had a blast there. Hotel was close to the attractions we had come to see. Overall, good experience.
Dear mmuller2,
Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your experiences on tripadvisor.com. We are always happy to hear about these stories. You bring up a valid point, as hoteliers we understand that there are more and more hotels with going with the shower only room. However, we need to do a better job of informing our guests. I will personally look into how we can post this description on our website and front desk information.
Thank you for being our guest and look forward to your return soon.

Like other commenters have written, this place could be great for families IF you didn't have to experience the booming PA and music from weddings in the atrium.
It was loud enough that our 4 year old had a hard time falling asleep. We couldn't watch tv until after the wedding ended at 10 -- it was that loud.
The hotel did comp us that night after we complained.
Dear Jumpinjav,
Thanks for your recent stay with us. We do have private functions from time to time, usually only 1 or 2 times a week. Noramly these functions are Weddings, that are taking place and these functions do not happen every week. Some of our guest enjoy watching and listening to these functions in our Palm Court. We realize guest with small children this can be challenging, we do start adjusting volumne down at 9:00pm and all functions ending by 10:00pm. We try to accomadate guest with small children in exterior rooms and welcome guest to request this at time of reservations.
We do hope you would give us another try in the future and feel free to contact me directly when making your reservations.

I stayed here with my family including 2 little kids. This hotel is very nice...HOWEVER the hotel is designed so you must get a room facing out or you could get blasted by party noise and loud speakers of live music etc. The rooms are set up in a circle and are either facing into a convention/event room, or out towards the outside. The first night we were there they had some sort of convention going on and we were in one of the inward facing rooms. We literally had a window facing the conventions gala evening, with loud live music, and announcements. Every inside room has this same set up!!! my family and I were up late...it ended about 10:30-11pm which is not bad for adults, but was a night mare with little kids. To the hotels credit the front desk offered me free breakfast when I went down to complain.
On the positive side...It is a very nice, modern place with a great location for all of the Lancaster attractions. It is located on a nice golf course, and has a couple little ponds with ducks. Best of all it has an absolutely wonderful kids pool, separate from the adult pool, with all kinds of fun sprays and slides. I find it funny that it is kid friendly, yet has the noise issue??
My Mother and I took my two boys (1 1/2 and 4 1/2) to Lancaster recently and stayed 4 nights here. I can't say enough about the place. Both boys had a blast in the Indoor Water Playground! The room was spacious and clean and the grounds were beautiful. We will definitely stay here again!
