“Clean room but very outdated hotel”
Reviewed September 29, 2013

My family and I were going to Dutch Wonderland for the second time and this time decide to stay at the Ramada Inn across the street from the amusement park. We stayed there for two nights and learned fairly quickly why the rate was under $70 a night.. The staff was very friendly or helpful. We arrived about 1pm for a 3pm check-in (after calling earlier that morning to advise of our early arrival and request an early check-in if available) and without bothering to check anything said flatly that she has nothing and to come back at 3pm. She seemed to have NO interest in helping us and regaled us with stories of her horrible morning and how she got yelled at and had keys thrown at her. Do I as a guest need to hear these things? The complimentary breakfast was just ok. Enough to get your day going but nothing exciting.
The location is great and the hotel and room were clean which is primary, but it is very old and tired looking and needs a complete renovation.
Two years ago we got a good deal for the Country Inn and Suites located next door and would recommend that although their prices are closer to $150-$200 a night. This trip we tried to save money and realized "You get what you pay for".

Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your stay, and for bringing to our attention some of the things we must work on. Our hotel is consistently making improvements, and coincidentally is amidst a renovation at this very moment. We were glad to hear you room was clean and breakfast was good, and can assure you our staff is whole-heartedly devoted to the satisfaction of our guests. We sincerely hope you'll return and stay with us again in your future trips to Lancaster!

So the price is ok. the location is great because it is right across the street from Dutch Wonderland. BUT ask employee to verify hours especially since we are probably off season, they give [--] answer about google it. The place is not clean. I ran the shower for the first time and the water came out a murky brown! only one garbage can in room. No mini fridge. My friend's ice bucket leaked! Out door pool not maintenanced, but again ok cuz it can be considered off season. Indoor pool doesn't have steps to walk in and not so clean either. Game room where you have to pay? I think it should just come with your stay to play table pool. Continental breakfast was ok. It had different breads, yogurt, coffee, oj and apple juice, muffins, cereal. the pancakes however tasted like paper mache. Rooms are pretty large. Elevator is ancient! I think that about covers things. I would NOT stay here again. OH! the pillows are awful! Mushy mess for me.

This was the worst hotel that I have ever been in! When we first arrived, we were told we were being given a suite. We squeezed ourselves and our bags onto a very tiny run-down elevator (the only one available) to arrive at our "suite" which looked was nothing more than an unkept open room with barely any furniture. It looked like an oversized bedroom in an old fraternity house. This room also included two televisions that didn't work, a phone that didn't work, a small refrigerator, very noisy neighbors and the thumping of music since it was directly over the club/bar in the hotel. After quickly addressing these issues with the front desk, they switched us to a room in the basement that was barely acceptable for one night. The best thing about this hotel was the front desk personnel - Kevin was extremely helpful!! We were informed that we were not given rooms that had been renovated. Even though better accommodations may exist in this hotel, we will never be staying here again - or probably any Ramada!

Room Tip: Choose a different hotel for a good room!

I had went to this hotel and was shocked after seeing all these negative reviews. Yes, there are a little areas that can take some updates. At the same time the staff at this location know how to keep their guest happy. The free breakfast in the morning was definitely a plus. Also, we did not have time to go but Dutch Wonderland is right across the street from this location. All in all for this price this hotel was good. Will return.

This was a very bad stay at what was supposed to be a Ramada location. The room smelled of mold which was visible thruout,The outdoor balcony had old food droppings, mold peeling paint. One of the beds had sheets that were streched to make it appear they were fresh, but had hair thereon. The only plus was the clerk that checked us in.tHE OUTDOOR pool looked like green jello.
