The staff is wonderful but the facility is awful. Advised them that our room had wallpaper pulling away from the wall with mold growing beneath it. The carpeting throughout is old, patched and stained. The bed linens did appear clean. Pay a little more and stay somewhere else.

Room Tip: Choose another facility!

This place looks like a poor, dirty and run down version of the Bates Motel. I would not book my worst enemy here. The lobby was frightening but not as scary as the room. There wasn't a thing in the room that wasn't stained. The sheets, the furniture, the rugs and even the lamp shades... The staff at the desk actually seemed nice and were genuinely apologetic for the conditions. I have no idea why Ramada would let tree name be attached to this hell hole! The only other positive is that is literally in walking distance to Dutch Wonderland.

We choose this location because it is right across from Dutch Wonderland. The reservation was screwed up and the building was in disrepair. Both pools were a mess. The stairways are wide open and my five year old fell on them and got hurt. No internet, no tv and the fridge didnt work. Only going for it was the bar!

We reserved a suite for the night while traveling with our children to Dutch Wonderland. The front facade was what you would expect from an older budget motel. Upon entering the lobby I noticed that the building smelled like a wet basement. The woman behind the desk was pleasant and helpful. I had reserved a crib but was told that the last one had been given out.
We checked in and went to our room. When we flipped the light switch and only one light came on. After an inspection of the lamps and fixtures we learned that most of the fixtures were loosely wired and dangerous. Getting ready to make the best of our stay, my boys (12 & 100 began exploring the room and discovered the door leading to the roof of the rear part of the hotel. This door was supposed to have been secured according to a note taped to the door because the roof wasn't "safe". Not only were we able to exit, but due to a lack of locks anyone else with a roof top door (ever room on that wing) could enter our room at will.
We learned the toilet seat was broken, the tub was filthy, and the pull out couch would only pull out 1/4 of the way. Additionally, there were urine stains on the linens, and a nice note in the elevator telling us that if we push the UP button more than once the elevator will cease operating and we will be trapped!
I excused myself to find out what the refund policy was. On my way I took a walk through the pool and sauna area. The indoor pool was the source of the odor throughout the building and was a murky pea green color. The outdoor pool as others have pointed out was a duck pond. The grass hadn't been mowed and there was trash around the outside pool.
Again, the woman at the front desk was exceedingly helpful and offered a full refund. Shortly thereafter we packed up and left the Lancaster Ramada.
I learned from the hotel that we ended up staying at, that the Ramada was formerly a Quality Inn but lost the designation due to many of the problems mentioned above.

Room Tip: Avoid this death trap.

This was the most discusting place to stay. Went with a tour group. Pool out back was a duck pond. Refridge frozen toilet wont flush. Ceiling paint falling off. Front desk never answers phone. Fire alarm and fire trucks came but NO ONE came or called the rooms we had to find out on our own that the kitchen had a fire.. Luggage of two people in same room was left wasnt notified for 6 hours later when we were almost home. Continental breakfast was all bread. I could go on and on just dont waste your time and stay there. GROSS!!
