“Still Very Good”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 18, 2011

This hotel remains exceptionally clean and generally well-maintained, though it's slipping a little on the latter -- some of the furniture had scratches, a couple of towels were torn, and the carpet had a small hole. Comfortable beds, and decent wifi. Low shower pressure. The free breakfast is good, but gets a little crowded.

Just returned from a visit to Lancaster and chose this hotel after reading reviews on Tripadvisor and other sites. First let me say that the reviews are accurate, it is a very nice hotel and well worth a look if you are in this area.

I was traveling with my 4 year old grandson, who is an amusement park nut. I decided to take him to Dutch Wonderland (also highly recommend). Drove up from Philadelphia and arrived in the area at around 11:30; unfortunately, there were no rooms available for early check in, so we headed up about a half mile to the amusement park. Returned to the hotel around 4:30, the front desk was extremely busy by then. There were two associates working; however, the phones were constantly ringing with customers calling for various reasons; most of whom were lost and trying to find the hotel. The associates were patient but I could tell that they were getting a little frustrated with one customer who kept calling over and over again, basically seeming to blame them because she couldn't find the place. Finally checked in (they did apologize for our wait) and went up to our room at around 5 (we were given room 306). Upon entering the room, I noticed it smelled like coffee or something similar, I assume it was some sort of air freshener. It was not overpowering or anything. The room was immaculate, bathroom sparkling. The view from the window was of a side parking lot; however, that didn't bother us at all. We had two queen beds which were very comfy, pillows were plentiful and soft. There was a 32 inch flat screen TV with 2 remotes (one of which didn't work, must have needed batteries). My grandson was extremely happy to have the cartoon network, and there were many channels to choose from, including HBO.

We did check out the pool later on that evening, it is small but was enough for my grandson to enjoy himself. It actually did get a little crowded but everyone seemed to enjoy themselves.

The free breakfast offered the next morning is plentiful and consists of the usual fare: bagels, toast, english muffins, yogurt, assorted fresh fruit; coffee and tea. There were also a few hot items available: pre-made omelets, ham slices and a belgian waffle maker (premade mix ready for use). I did notice some people had a little trouble with the waffle maker - be sure to use the nonstick spray before you pour your batter on, or your waffle will be stuck!

There are also two computers available for use right off of the breakfast area; I only used one for a few minutes but it appeared to be a fast connection. The hotel also has free wireless, and I thought it was great that the passwords were located on the inside of your room key holder (so many times I've had to call a front desk and wait for someone to remember what password customers should use). I did connect my Ipad and had no difficulties; I did have to reconnect it the next morning as well.

We did take advantage of the express check-out, the bill that was slipped under my door during the night was accurate and I opted to have the charges added to my credit card.

Dining is plentiful in the area; there is no restaurant at the hotel but there are several within the immediate area - Cracker Barrel, Texas Roadhouse, Red Robin, Applebee's, as well as fast food (Wendy's). One of the outlet malls is also located directly across the street; next door is Target, Panera Bread, Dollar Tree, etc.

Please keep in mind that the hotel does not face the highway; it sits back a little and is easy to pass by if you aren't paying close attention. There is a mattress place right beside it.

All in all, I can highly recommend this hotel if you are looking to stay in the area. Good customer service, immaculate rooms and reasonable rates. I can say that I would return if I decide to come back again next year.

We chose a King bed suite. The room was spacious, clean, internet wifi, and a great place to stay. There are many places to shop and eat on route #30 within walking distance if you choose. We were there for a short stop so did not take advantage of them. The hotel is new and the staff were nice but not overly friendly.

Located right on the Lincoln Hwy an easy distance to the main Amish Villages. The hotel is set back from the highway so street noise is minimal. Nice clean and apparently new hotel with good front desk help and excellent breakfasts.

We did experience challenges on our 2nd story floor with 3 families who all had rooms and kids that roamed the hallways in a noisy fashion. The desk staff knew about it, but did nothing to quiet them down. The hotel is very close to a Kid's theme park---so it attracts many families with small children.

Several off site dinning establishments are within an easy 2-3 minute drive. Both fast food and sit down restaurants.

We stayed here for a long weekend visiting Lancaster. Check-in was quick, efficient, and friendly. The room was very clean and spacious. The free internet worked great. The hotel was located behind another business on Route 30, so it was easy to miss, but was also quiet since you were far away from the noise of traffic. It was convenient to many area attractions like Dutch Wonderland and outlet shopping. The continental breakfast was nothing special. The indoor pool was small, which was fine for our son, but it was so heavily chlorinated that our eyes were burning within a few minutes, and all the kids in the pool were sneezing and coughing. Better ventilation would help. We would definitely stay there again, but try not to use the pool too much.
