Dining options: Dinner, Late Night, Full Bar, Parking Available, Reservations, Seating, Serves Alcohol, Waitstaff
Description: The restaurant features a contemporary bistro-style menu, formed from the idea that casual dining can be stylish, and that some of our favorite comfort foods can benefit with the remix of contemporary flair. In addition to revised classics, the menu includes small plate "tastes" to share or enjoy with a cocktail. Daily specials from Chef Daniella Ward complete the culinary scenario by offering inspirations of the moment, influenced by the season.

“the best bouillabaisse”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 4, 2013

There is definately a reason my children want to go to Fenz when they come to Lancaster.
The meals are always made to perfection. I am always intrigued by the subtle use of the herbs and spices they use. I had the bouillabaisse this time. Fantastic!!! They never disappoint.
We love the intimate atmosphere. There is a bar on the first level and also upstairs. They also allow you to bring your own wine. Corkage fees are reasonable. This was the second time we could watch fireworks from the ballpark a few blocks away.

“FENZ-a tiny piece of the corner; a large piece in YOUR corner!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 28, 2013

This restaurant sits on a tiny triangle near Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, PA. The meals here are superb! Spirits, even better! You can dress to the nines or come comfortable, no matter what style you choose, the food you elect will be some of the best ever. From the outside this looks like an older brick building; enter into the foyer and you will find anything BUT old! Ecclectic in atmosphere, stylish decorated and service beyond compare! Worth the trip and you won't leave hungary. Bob and Julie will see to it you are pampered, fed and spirited beyond measure! Make the trip! Take the plunge! Try FENZ!

“not so terrific”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 17, 2013

i went there last month with a friend and was a little disppointed. the atmosphere is kind of fun, modern, multi-leveled, attractive. unfortunately they lost their original cheff, so the favorite dishes from the past, like the chicken pot pie, are no longer on the menu, and what they have is very well prepared but not particularly interesting or imaginative. i would avoid it, certainly, but i wouldn't go out of my way to go back. maybe the new chef will improve with a little time.

“A good option in Lancaster, PA”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 12, 2013

I recently went to Fenz during a weekend trip to Lancaster. It's a nice restaurant, with attractive, warm, decor, good service and food. If the food had been more thoroughtly heated, it would have been quite excellent. I had scallops to start, perfectly presentable, though not out of the ordinary. The bouillabaisse tasted delicious, but as I mentioned, was not hot enough. The appetizer pizzas are lovely. Of the restaurants we tried in Lancaster, Fenz was definitely best.

“Weird, pricey, lackluster”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 3, 2013

We have eaten here several times and will pass in the future, Downstairs was freezing last March and upstairs was stinking hot in May. We are not barfly people but all three nights we ate there last year we felt trampled and shouted out .Our servers disappeared from our table but were quite visible chatting at the bar. In July, in Lancaster County, I ordered a tomato caprese appetizer that was awful. The tomatoes were not served in delicious slices, sort of chopped and lame and the mozzarella was served in famine portions. I can go to market in July and barely carry the tomatoes and fresh cheeses Admittedly we were extremely fortunate and had the chance to eat in food Mecca's like Charleston, Baltimore and in Philadelphia this year but we paid less there for far more inspired food.
